No thank you. This site is about as close as I get to social(ist) media. Unlike F-Book and all the rest, I feel very confident that no one here will try to steal my identity or mine and sell my personal data to the highest bidder.

Re: Hi from So Cal
Hi Jake and welcome to RC10talk.com. I think your story mirrors many of the members here (it certainly does mine). I started surface RC with a Tamiya Sand Scorcher circa 1980, tried to race it with zero success, then moved to RC10, Ultima, Schumacher CAT, etc... I've done a fair bit of on-road (10L ...

Re: Edinger? Time for some love
The actual box-art car has windows cutout. A few years ago, I restored my Dad's old Edinger in box-art style and for the window net I used the drywall joint mesh "tape" and painted it black. It very much looks the part. So you cut the windows out? Also, with regards to a driver figure, th...

Re: My A Stamp RC10 resto-mod runner build.
Yeah, I don't even bother to run an antenna tube; I just leave the wire loose inside the chassis.
The car came together great. That body looks awesome - nice work!!

Re: Transmission question
I ordered some AE silicon differntal gear grease... when I got it it said NOT FOR STEALTH TRANSMISSION???? This was the whole reason I purchased it.... What's wrong with it? I just waited a week to rebuild the tranny.. I think you've received gear grease that suitable for trans gears and geared dif...

Re: “ToyAto Crawler” HG-P407 (the black kit)
While I was making some scale license plates for the Blazer (or "tags" as they're called here in the south), I went ahead and made some for the ToyAto. I found blank tag images online (google images) and used MS Word to adjust the scale and add text, then printed them on the office color l...

Matteo's RC Movies
I'm guessing that most of us here are familiar with Matteomeier's work but in case you aren't, I'd like to invite you to go to his Youtube page and check out his RC running videos. https://www.youtube.com/user/Matteomeier/videos There are perhaps dozens (maybe even hundreds?) of RC content providers...

Re: Hi From South America
Hello and welcome to the forums. :D To build upon what Jeff has already said, since you are thinking about buying both cars, maybe you could consider choosing one to use as a runner and keep the other for display and in pristine condition. Of course, you can always buy a vintage derelict beater RC10...

Re: Kyosho Assault Box Art Restoration
I agree, it looks fine. I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it.
I also don't see any step in the paint from the decals being applied under the paint. The decal edge is completely invisible. Good job!!

Re: Nix91 - Rick Hohwart replica
Looks like an exceptionally nice clone -- well done sir! In fact, if it wasn't so clean, you might believe that it's Rick's actual car. Very cool!!
What were the two extra holes in the front shock tower used for?

Re: RC4WD 1/18 Gelande 2
Again, very nice work - you are a master craftsman sir.
BTW - love seeing the 996 in the background. I've come very close to buying a 1:1 on at least a couple occasions -- what a great bike!

Re: Nix91 - Rick Hohwart replica
Thank you! I asked for a brief how-to and you've responded with a full step-by-step tutorial. Outstanding, thank you so much! I hadn't heard of Inkscape before now so I'll want to give it a try. Thanks again for taking time to create such a detailed post. Your decal set looks incredible - I've a fee...

Re: “ToyAto Crawler” HG-P407
I've picked-up a second kit (a white one this time) and fitted it with Tamiya Hilux High Lift chrome bits (bumpers, mirrors, roll bar and lights). Cab back and glass and side badges are from RC4WD. I'd planned to paint it like the boxart red Mountain Rider but changed my mind and decided to leave it...
