Cool old reciept.
Wasn't quite sure where to put this but i found this receipt stuffed in the build manual. Looks like dad went down and picked me up the sticker sheet.

The Associated DR10 street eliminator
Picked up a DR10 and as many already know- the stock 3300kv system is weak sauce. I had a couple motors to play with but nothing crazy. Hottest was a 7.5t Track Star. I didn’t think it would be enough so I ordered a cheap 3.5t Surpass to play with as well. Running a Gens Ace 2s 130c shorty and a mam...

wtcc's RC10 T2 #7036
Today I pulled out my T2 that I bought in '96 after working and saving a long time as a teen. And that is my one and all jewel RC car. It hasn't been run a lot. The last time was in 2009. Since then it has a kind of shelf queen status. Out of curiosity I checked what parts I have for it and was surp...

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build
The dust shroud is a good idea but it's going to stop any airflow from passing over the parts that heat up; the motor and ESC. You might be at risk of frying those components, and possibly warping/melting the nearby plastic parts if they heat up too much. The addition of a heatsink is a good idea, b...

Re: Tamiya Bruiser ends again?
I'm glad i bought 2 of these plus spare parts for a complete rebuild if needed. I got 1 from RCMart back when they were selling for less than 500.00 and the 2nd one from a seller in LA that didn't realize he had to build it. Amazing how many have probably sold though. I have no intention of selling ...

Re: Tamiya Bruiser ends again?
I waffled on buying one of these. It’s hard to justify one when I have a vintage new build to finish and another one to restore. In the end I just couldn’t pass up one at this price. From what I’ve seen, the rere is so much more improved over the original. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/sh...

Re: Triumph Project
up to step 18, slow going sorting through boxes and trays of parts ... finding the correct hardware is the biggest nightmare, the front end is more or less done, added an unseen touch with two 2x6x2.5 flanged bearings in the steering crosslink, she's smoothy ..

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Glad it didn't come in the mail..... would've cost an arm and a leg to ship it all. IMG_20200609_191025.jpg IMG_20200609_190952.jpg IMG_20200609_190835.jpg Whoa  did you buy a whole collection from someone or what? Long story short...shorter. The track that I used to race at when I was a kid...

Re: Tonight's Rebuild
Chasiss, rear shock tower few other things have been cleaned. Will get pics of them once the re-build starts.
It's funny, the rear shocks were bone dry. No more.

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
Thanks Doug! That will help lead me in the right direction. Today I thought I would make my own bearing ride height inserts. The originals were designed to allow use of the axle tube and not the bearings themselves. Since my tube was bent on one end and had a hole ground through it, I decided to eli...

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
Thanks! I will likely make a few more so I can fine tune the ride height. Today while shopping, I went by the shoe section and had an idea. Since shoe polish hides scuffs and scratches on footware, why not try it on a vintage Hyperdrive pan car chassis? I applied several coats and allowed it to dry....

Little bit of attention to the A&L trailing arms goes a long way.
