Re: Nix91 - Rick Hohwart replica
Opps, sorry for not replying to this. The car is as it was in the last photo. Maybe I will get to it one day. Like I said, getting what you see on the screen onto a decal is tricky, you need to find a printer that is willing to work with you and has good communication. Being in the same time zone he...

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
Here is how she sits so far. Parts dyed and came out better than I expected. I decided to make my own battery hold down pieces due to one of the originals had a wallowed out slot and it didn't look quite right on the car. Also worked on the diff a bit to find where it was binding. The buds centering...

VW Beetle baja nitro 4 wheel drive
Today started okay, then heading into the Toxic Hell drive thru so Tina could get her quesadilla fix a good sam says "hey buddy, you got a flat." So it had enough air to get home and do surgery, a big old bolt right in the tread. A new tire is out of budget so I hit the bats cave, a 2k ft ...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle
^^^^^^^^^^ 've looked at many many on-road wheels recently and I can't place them. So, can you reveal your source......... The M/T is Mickey Thompson. A search for Mickey Thompson scale wheels led me to RC4WD and maybe these are those: https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-Mickey-Thompson-Street-Comp-SC-5-1...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle
Yeah, until the mid 70s pretty much any road racer ran either the torq thrusts or mini lites, but mini lites were very pricey even then, Im very old school and not much into the modern stuff, i would hit the RC track every weekend, i cant recall if it was fri or sat nite, this was when rc10 6 gear w...

The RC10 I've Always Wanted
Like many here, I have more than my fair share of vintage RC10's, but this one has been under construction for over 2 years sitting in the background waiting for the right parts and trying to decide how to paint it. I wanted this one to be more of a street buggy. I wanted something different from th...

Re: RC28 modding
I haven't worked on the more "RC10-ish" RC28 since about the last time I posted in this thread. Recently I've picked it up again and made some pretty good progress. I've got a video on YouTube too if anyone's interested. I still have to design a new rear transmission case, a servo mount, a...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle
For instance, these HPI vintage 5-spokes look very old school! They have them in 26mm and 31mm widths and in matte (pictured) and black. HPI Vintage 5 spoke wheel.JPG And the tires for them look very scale as well. HPI Vintage tires.JPG A while back, someone posted this Penske Camaro on ebay. I thi...

Your forever car...
I’m not sure how popular this term is. But hypothetical scenario, if it came down to it, what is the one R/C car you would never part with or hold on to till the very end? No seconds or runner ups.

Re: Your forever car...
Traxxas TRX-1 is my forever car. Chips would have to be down, dire straights, with a gun to my head and even then I'd be all ,"nah, no way dude, keeping it." I still might build one in the future that I would prefer to keep more than the current #1. But definitely the TRX-1. It has the A&a...

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6 V2
And after a good nights sleep Option #4 A new top plate, a heat gun, clamps, dremel, sandpaper, a clean flat surface and a full morning of trial and error. Think I have a satisfactory amount of material without sacrificing any strength. It took a while but I'm happy with the results. Newly remolded ...

Re: Your forever car...
That's like asking "Which of your children would you sacrifice?" The one I'd keep would be either CYANide or Barney, my first two custom-built Optimas...both took so much time to plan, re-engineer and build...probably I'd give the nod to Barney because you could drive that car anywhere. :m...
