Re: Have you noticed...
For what it's worth, I have made a motor plate for one of the runner cars -- no access to special tools or a press. I just traced the part, cut a blank then clamped and formed it around a block, doing my best to emulate with crude hand tools the process I thought AE had used. Clearly, I was wrong. ...

Re: Have you noticed...
Well... now that we are in the rabbit hole... Here is another interesting observation: proto-edinger.png Notice the upper ball stud location on the front block carrier, the hole appears to be offset from center to the outside of the carrier. If you look closely it looks as if the left and right bloc...

Re: What's everyone doing for ball studs?
So you're looking for steel ball studs, give me a count of what you need for the build if you are okay with used but not destroyed ball studs I have a bunch of take offs from when I went aluminum........... they will just need a cleaning.
Also are they black or shiny with hex no hex?

My Bruiser Build & Modification
Hello. Achieved a dream last November, and got The Bruiser. As a Birthday present from the Wife :D  In preparation, i searched on builds, and found a couple of good threads online. Then, after building it, and using it, I wanted to make it better. More internet searching, forum visits, and ...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Optima Re-Re Tires
For bashing with my Javelin re-re I use Kyosho 2.2" Dirt Hog wheels along with the now-discontinued Proline Dirt Hawg tires. I've used the Dirt Hawgs for bashing for years & they last very well even on coarse surfaces like asphalt. It's a shame they are discontinued but they still pop up on...

Bear Hawk
I got this as a "mystery" auction item purchased by the wife.
Been cleaning, sanding, painting, sanding, painting and trimming decals for a while.
Turning out pretty nice if I do say so.

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
I've now got all the wheels and bogies finished with the softer springs , i also modelled up the transmission ,receiver , multi function unit and speaker , placed them in the hull and made mountings , the speaker in its plastic box would not fit so i removed it and made a small mounting for it . htt...

Re: Ultima LWB
Thank you orangemazda!! I agree, it's really hard to make a separate nose plate look nice - there's always going to be a step. I was considering making the main chassis plate one-piece from aluminum but I'm more concerned about keeping the weight down than aesthetics. Of course, a molded carbon cha...

Re: Ultima Pro XL chassis length: help needed
Wow Doug, that's great!! Do you think I could get away with using the inner hinge pin mounts and still have a structurally sound transmission mount? I could run the B4 screws straight through the chassis and cradle to tie all that together so maybe those lateral mounting ears wouldn't be necessary. ...

Re: Gold Pan Runner by Slotcarrod
I have had this runner for a long time as you can see from my original post, and I thought I would like a original 6 gear short arm runner. So I converted my mostly Worlds in to a 6 gear.
