Re: 2014 Beetle
Just a few more pics in better light. The color reminds me of the "Chrome Yellow" that Ford used on Mustangs in the late 90's. My brother had a 98 Cobra in that color. Screenshot_20210802-142639_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20210802-142618_Gallery.jpg And some with the body and inner cover remov...

Re: What your workstation looks like?
Not a random bump, but never hurts. Gave the barn a full detail yesterday.

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
Hi Doug I haven't given up on the Mid yet :) I just needed to take a break and go back to my roots. The tedious nature of sanding, polishing and anodizing was getting old and I wanted a change. So I've been working a couple of other projects that have been just sitting around and were looking pretty...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
There's loads more but I need to tweak the designs , a lot were slightly modified for FDM home printing so need to be returned to a more original shape that's possible on their printers at shapeways .

Re: Kyosho Javelin Legendary series - 30618
I reworked the front led bucket attachement as I found the first one too large. I also designed a part for the rear side. Front is supposed to be used with light buckets (any available on ebay should do it), and rear is supposed to work with standard 5mm red leds. https://i.imgur.com/PmWstRL.jpg Mou...

Re: Home theater
Doug Once again too kind... Thank you. You might even have appreciated the fact that I modeled it first in Sketchup  But not even close to the ability you have shown for nearly photo-realistic renderings on some of your projects. The theater hasn't seen a lot of use last year. But before that...

Re: Long term project
Finally got a little paint on this one. The primary color is Tamiya brilliant blue with Duratrax metallic black and silver streak. I also did some mixing of modern and vintage decals, seemed appropriate. Screenshot_20210807-180608_Gallery.jpg I still need to add some velcro for the front body mounts...

Finally got myself a gold pan
I always wanted one, but by the time I could afford one, I couldn't. Picked this up in a box of RC stuff off Craigslist. There's a re release Tamiya Frog and an Axial Scorpion included, along with bags and boxes of parts to go through still. This is all the Associated stuff I could identify first ti...

Re: Outlaw Ultima truck purchase – my very first ST
What's the worse that could happen? At full throttle, the truck looses a tire, goes out of control and flies into a can of gas knocking it onto a book of matches which spontaneously ignite causing a massive explosion destroying the house and setting half the neighborhood on fire. Foam tire inserts,...

Re: Ebay graphite purchase
Got the body all trimmed and clearanced. Also got the wing mounted. The body is a Jammin Jumper from Sabula Tech with a JConcepts Finnisher wing, and old style Traxxas wing buttons. 20210810_194453.jpg Now I've just got to decide on a paint scheme and colors. I'm thinking a Spaz Stix color change pa...

Re: Outlaw Ultima truck purchase – my very first ST
The plastic shocks are rebuildable, sorta. Similar to an AE top load shock, they have a internal retaining clip.
I have a set of those shocks. I removed the clip with the mini screwdriver, through the shaft hole. After cleaning the body, I reinstalled the components with a new o ring.

My B3 project
This is my B3 that I recently picked up. Carbon Fiber composite chassis, front and rear arms, carbon fiber shock towers. The chassis is brand new, and I want to keep it that way, so I used some carbon fiber vinyl as a protector. Still haven't decided on a body yet. I'm not a huge fan of the big wind...

Re: New addition to the RC fleet
Then I see them in the LHS and only think, "I MUST HAVE THAT!!!" :D They are so much more impressive in real life! After losing the desire to complete and drive my DR10 project, I wondered if someone in the world like to trade me their Arrma for my little drag car. So today this came into...
