Insane Speed Run RC10L

I thought for sure I posted this car when I first built it but I can't find the thread. Anyway, I decided to change up a few things to make it more like a proper speed run car of the period. These are the parts I added: - Tecnacraft Aero-Trac & diff hub - HPI front arm brace, pro rear upper plat...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Does adding more shelves count?

Re: Clonewald GFG-10

I need to get some wing buttons and bend a wire, but otherwise this one is done. The MCI decal set is pretty nice and definitely was the finishing touch I needed.

Re: What if... RC10B1.5 BFG 5LTi

Messing around a little more. The steering area is going to be tricky.

Re: 3D Sets Landy Build

XLR8 wrote: Fri May 12, 2023 2:57 pm I remember seeing a close-up of the seats for Jeff's 3D Sets build - they looked like actual fabric.
there is a fuzzy setting you can click to make anything look somwhat like that, but what I used was a carbon infused material so the shards give it that fuzzy look

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Been trying to ID the specific variant of this TA02. The front shock tower is unlike the standard TA02 and the 'S, 'T, 'W and 'SW versions. It's the very low droop and notch in the middle that makes it unique. Any guesses? s-l1600 (3).png s-l1600 (1).png s-l1600.jpg I'd suggest it's a TA01, rather ...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

the cut down front tower, red front knuckles, 2 hole front arms, and forward facing rear arms with long chassis also suggest TA01

Optima Pro, plastic or cast aluminum knuckles?

There is a Optima Pro NIB on Yahoo! Japan. Looking at this pic it looks to include the plastic OT16V and not the cast aluminum version.
Is this what people have found to be the case with these? I am building one and like the idea of the plastic vs aluminum. Opinions?

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

It's not pretty, but it fills a slot in my hit list. And now that I have it, that means another one cheaper and nicer should be popping up any moment. Maybe I should go wash my car too just to get the universe properly in motion.

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

The fit is really nice. I will shorten the horn to servo saver a bit.
Really good alignment as well.

Full Size Tamiya Wild One

It seems some folks in the UK have produced a full size Tamiya Wild One. Super Cool IMO. Now to come up with the $40K and space in the garage. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a44485459/tamiya-wild-one-max-revealed/ https://finance.yahoo.com/news/this-ev-is-basically-an-rc-car-hit-with-a-growth-ray...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

ESC #3 My Novak1 was DOA and the Novak T4 really did not fit very good. The orange anodize on the Spektrum A5070 servo needed something to balance the look. Also the amp draw on the servo is pretty high so I got a Spektrum Firm ESC, BEC has 7.4V and 4amps available for the servo. Tucks in the chassi...
