Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Managed to fit one of those $20 Injora transmissions on a RC10 (going to be a truck). I had to clearance the gear cover a little, to allow more upward movement of the half-shafts. Screenshot_20230801_192132_Gallery.jpg The half-shafts came off a ECX Torment and the carriers are from a Traxxas Stampe...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got my Hilux battery pack all glued back together, and made up new stickers for it. It wasn't until after I got the stickers on that I was reminded that the case is actually embossed with Ni-Cd and 1200mAh, which contradicts the stickers, but oh well. For a 40 year old battery, it looks pretty good.

Re: Tamiya Hilux Pickup Build
Next would be the electronics box. This would be crucial as once covered, it covers half of the upper chassis. Problem was, mine was in junk shape. The "transparent" plastic is/was a lot like old record player covers, it is clear, but darkened. Well, mine had multiple spider cracks coming ...

Re: Tamiya Hilux Pickup Build
What a fascinating build, thank you so much for taking time to document it here. I really appreciate how you've found work-arounds and innovative solutions for broken, missing or damaged parts. Of course, your time and effort will not go unrewarded. This model brings crazy money these days. There's...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Even with the generous offer given by the seller, this is the most expensive, by far, parts tree I have ever bought. This is why I don't build things right, because building right is expensive!!
I have bought quite a few cars for less than I have in this group of plastic.

Bucky II - Garden Tractor Class Puller Build
This is the build thread for the garden tractor class puller I've been working on. It comes with a bit of a backstory that I touched upon in the "bored" thread in which I'll reiterate here. Back in July I happened upon a garden tractor class puller on Facebook Marketplace that I just had t...

Re: Who else loves the Stadium Blitzer?
Just bumping an old thread. I just purchased (don't possess yet) a well used rere Blitzer. The PO bought it worn and put on new wheels/tires, CVAs, and body (decals not mounted) on it. The bottom is worn, but I already purchased a tub and bumper parts tree to handle that. I would like to make this a...

Re: Who else loves the Stadium Blitzer?
Here are mine.
The buggy is mostly built from Blitzer Beetle parts.
The FXT isn't technically a Blitzer but they share some suspension and driveline parts. All of the arms, carriers, and caster blocks on that one are new re-re Blitzer parts.

Re: Who else loves the Stadium Blitzer?
Doesn't matter if there's thousands of them...

That's a pretty truck.
And the video is still live too... which is awesome because it's surprisingly enjoyable to watch.

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
This Hirobo project is not finished, and today I got one more reason to trigger the rebuilt of my 44B chassis... A few months back, I did a CAD model for a bodyshell for the 44B Hilux.... https://i.imgur.com/2S3jOEo.jpg I believe the 210 mm wheelbase makes room to use the body on M chassis with some...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
The vacuum formed body looks great. Well done sir! I've been looking for a means to make a light-weight alternative body for the SCX6 (OEM and aftermarket body options are extremely limited) and your proof of concept definitely offers some hope. Inching closer to buying a printer - for creating mol...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
I'd be very tempted to trim, paint, detail and call it finished. It does look very good. So, your goal is a vacuum formed polycarbonate body? I envy guys like you. I can manage to stay with a project only about 3 weeks and if it isn't finished, it resides evermore in a junk box in the attic. :( Dou...
