Re: Who remembers the Chrysler Turbine car?

Best car ever made..period...not an opinion..FACT! Said no one ever, about a Chrysler product (at least, not anyone who has ever had one). The closest thing they have is Jeep, and the best Jeeps were when AMC owned them. AMC design carried on into the I6 4.0, which wasn't horrible. MOPAR did make s...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

Got some wheel options for the FZ02. HPI black, HPI matte chrome, and the included 5-slot chrome wheels. https://i.imgur.com/2jFFpFz.jpg That's Alclad II in the spray can, thinking about making those black rims, chrome. The little disc brake rotors which are non-functional, except to adapt the wheel...

I put some grease there. It's not even snug (red Loctite keeps it in place). The screw keeps the diff from separating under load.

Not enough room for anything else. With the hex axles, they can rub the screw.

Re: .12 Nitro Monster Beetle

I tried to fit a tiny thrust in there and it was a no go. The diff functions normally when not under a severe load, it will only really try to lock itself up when there is a lot of force on the screw- which is kinda perfect really. Loctite is not an option, its a requirement

Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

The first hobby grade RC I ever saw in my life, was when I was riding the city bus at 12 years old. There was an older kid maybe 14-15, sitting in the back of the bus, with the Tamiya Sand Scorcher box in his lap. All I could see was the side of the box. In that moment I made up my mind I had to get...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

For the handful of you that have Platinum shocks.... Several months ago, while working on my shocks, I had tried new white P4 orings. They turned out to have been too tight and have too much friction. The original orange Kyosho orings were somewhat leaky, and after reinstalling them they still tende...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

That is so sweet! The right decals, a boxart front bumper, and love the wheels you went with too, they look like the old Centerline rims, especially the way you painted the drums black in the center of each, so cool. Thanks for the recommendation on the paint pen, I may have to try a couple of diffe...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

Thanks! I completely understand about not wanting to drive it in the dirt, too much time invested, I'm the same way these days. I ordered the Sharpie oil based paint pen. Hoping to get the tire writing correct, but I'm concerned about clean up, I see people use their Xacto blade to scratch off the e...
