Re: “aftermarket” RC10 gold chassis pan
Sorry if this has already been discussed. I watch this site closely and haven't seen it mentioned but it's possible that I've somehow missed it. I’ve recently noticed these popping up on ebay – around the time AE announced the 40th. Maybe these have been available for a while? I search ebay daily b...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I’m not really interested in the second market aspect. Even though I agree that it’s going to appreciate in value. I’d just be keeping a kit out of someone else’s hands that may actually want to build and enjoy the car. I’d likely just stash it in a closet and forget about it until no one wants one ...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2024 ** - Winner - morrisey0
Here is my 12e. It cleaned up really nice. I made a new radio tray. I was able to get the motor in nice running condition; it has the original Edinger in it. It's nice to see what kicked off so many people in the hobby.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Just got my invoice, it does have the Lake Forest CA address, and included my tracking number from UPS; just the label was printed, so no movement or details yet. I'll update this when my label goes through, after 9pm here. I saw New York was scheduled for delivery tomorrow, elsewhere. Is everyone'...

Re: Novak 4 ESC
Hey guys, what can you tell me about this one from Novak? In the pictures, look for a short bit of wire that is located at the receiver and switch output area. There are two wires, both red, soldered together. I don't think that part was a stock feature. Also there is a capacitor or r...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
The newer editions of the gears are beige.
That was for the 2013 as well as the cc release.
Does anyone know if they are sturdier than the original gears?

Re: Jegs Holeshot truck and Stinger buggy info
If you have the Holeshot how has the experience been so far with this truck? Holding up well and any modifications you recommend? Will be able to finally take it out of storage to take it for a run. Not sure if the stinger is much different than a holeshot. I gave my 7 year old the stinger and put ...

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
That's a cool truck. A lot of attention is given to the early 7001 kits but the later Sport Trucks like yours are interesting in their construction. Crash parts are less expensive and easier to find, being shared with the T2/GT, so building it as a runner is more palatable. Any thoughts on motor/es...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Michaels just went to $470. https://www.michaelsrchobbies.com/asc6007-rc10-classic-40th-anniversary-kit-limited.html It's making me think these really were a limited edition, to 5,000 units. Time will tell. Seeing how they overextended themselves on the previous re-release. It makes sense to make a...

Re: Rc10 wide arm kit
I can't believe that it would have cost RPM so much more do to this on their own. I'd jump at the chance to get made in the USA parts from a company that has been supporting RC since nearly the beginning.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
With respect to the hole so close to the edge: in addition to it being unsightly and weak, I have to wonder why it is so close. Is the hole slightly out of place? Or is the hole correctly located on a tab that is too short? Honestly a lot of the original AE engineering could have been better in ter...

Vintage Trinity Commutator Lathe (for stock motors)
I bought this comm lathe off ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/285846016683 Screenshot 2024-05-16 at 11.21.57 AM.png I don't know much about it but it looks like a stock motor lathe. Does anyone know the model, or have a link to instructions on this lathe or type of lathe? Is there a piece missing that ...
