Re: Rc10 6207 Cadillac vs Fan Rc gating and ejection pin marks

While the sway bar on my Edinger is blocking the topmost pin mark the rest of the pins and gate are in the same places as your Cadillac.

Re: Vintage 6016 and 6020. Did they come with both bearings and bushings?

Here are my opening videos, the 6016 bearings were included as a separate retail bag. The 6020 did not include bearings.

Re: Vintage 6016 and 6020. Did they come with both bearings and bushings?

The 6020 is the fulll kit with battery less bearings. So no bearings in the 6020 kit. The link below has the descriptions and so does the associated site as well.

Guide to adjusting radios for optimum Novak Cyclone and Atom Performance

This is more academic than anything, as I doubt many people are out there programming their Novak Cyclones and Atoms anymore. I happen to think they are some of the coolest speed controllers ever, so I wrote up this guide to document the hours I have spent messing around with these devices and the t...

RCPS or Lunsford Turnbuckles?

Any way to tell if these are RCPS or Lunsford?
The four on the left are 0.1255" in diameter.
The six on the right 0.1235" in diameter.

Re: Bulk cleaning and restoring a lot of screws

for steel, originally black oxide screws: use simple green in your ultrasonic cleaner, rinse and dry. put into a container with a rust converter of your choice, I have and use the brand Krud Kutter, it's sort of greenish blue and smells terrible. Leave it sit until you achieve a good uniform dark fi...

Re: Bulk cleaning and restoring a lot of screws

Once you get them clean, spray them down with Corrosion Block, Corrosion X, or Fluid Film.

I've used all three in marine environments, which is a much rougher environment than your garage.

Re: Random question - What is this shock part for?

Yup, just as Chuck said, that retains the orings. Some shocks have the body do that job, there are different ways to go about it. I'm not a huge fan of the rere Kyosho shocks. They aren't the worst, but they definitely don't remind me of the gold shocks- the gold standard of vintage shocks. Oh good...

Re: Futaba fp-t3pg magnum senior partial tear down

I know this thread it old, but I had a similar issue with a trigger that would not return to center. My issue was the potentiometer was seizing. I scavenged a throttle potentiometer from another Futaba radio that was functioning well. The radio was a different model (don't recall which one), but it ...
