Re: Anyone have an SR10?

Took it out for a maiden run today and while fun the car wasn't balanced very well for my liking. Sure it's probably fine for Johnny who is trying to learn to drive or a much slower car, but not for a quick mod car. The car had a lot of body roll which was actually quite fun at slower speeds which j...

Re: Behind the curve RPM

Over a year this one has sat doing nothing but a slightly revitalised interest in the hobby has moved it on a bit. Now almost fully mocked up baring steering turnbuckles. I noticed the front bulkhead has some stripped threads so I have a replacement white RC10T bulkhead for it. I’ve installed the Ky...

Kyosho Circuit 20 Extra - Racing Baja (3045)

If we all step back and remember what it was exactly that made R/C so immediately fascinating, most of us would probably say it was a level of realism involved. Both Kyosho & Tamiya gave us the chance to feel what real racing was all about, but it’s much more affordable and a lot less dangerous....

RC10 A+ Buggy Project

The overall chassis dimensions were close enough that it seemed like 'a good idea' to move a 6 gear RC10 buggy from a heavily used A stamp chassis to a new RC10B6 91650 chassis. My standards for close enough are low though. I started by printing a gearbox that's compatible with the chassis. I'm goin...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

Progress! http://i.imgur.com/XuTz44al.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yy0d6pxl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rI60juQl.jpg I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out. The motor plate took a few revisions to get right but I was able to work it out. The center brace with the inset nuts is a bad idea so that will ...

Tamiya Top Force build in 2022

I enjoyed this build and have some general tips for your Top Force reissue build. The Top Force was the 100th vehicle in their lineup and was the next generation 4WD racer after the Tamiya Egress. This is a shelf queen and I opted for different wheels to go along with a vivid original paint scheme. ...

Re: My 1987-1988 RC10 OG build

After getting through the sanding process, it was time for finishing. I much rather would have done the sanding on a machine but I currently have no shop as I am working on relocating my family to a warmer climate :) PXL_20220503_143933980.jpg PXL_20220503_143944893.jpg PXL_20220503_144001464 small....

Does anyone know if there are currently and CVD's (3/16" wheels) on the market that will fit a T3?

Will the Custom Works Medium kit fit?

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white

This process has become one of the most satisfying parts of restoring these old vehicles for me! The process of hydrating, cleaning, and whitening is tedious and boring, but the payoff is just so worth it in the long run! For medium, I use Salon Care 40 Volume Clear (liquid) or Creme (cream d...

jwscab wrote: Fri May 06, 2022 8:44 am Pin diameter is also important because between brands there is a difference, I've measured some that had a pin a smidge too large to fit into the associated slots.
Yeah.

Tamiya ball and pin size is slightly too large for AE cars.
