First Run After Refresh

I just got done refreshing my original 1988 RC10. Built it originally when I was 10. I have kept it kinda up to date up to 1994 and then just last month got it out. Almost 28 years sitting in storage. OH boy I feel old. So I had to rebuild a few things in the tranny, replace idler gears and outdrive...

Re: Rc10t style one piece carbon fiber build

Not much to offer except encouragement , I've been following this thread for a while and I sincerely admire your perseverance , this is clearly not a simple or easy thing but you are making good progress and this latest chassis looks like a big step , cost of materials affects us all in on way or an...

stealth outdrives

This company has released some new outdrives. Just thought I would help if anyone was hurting for some. I have been searching for a few months.

Tamiya New Beetle FF01 front wheel drive fun

The Tamiya VW New Beetle FWD FF01. I never expected this one to put a big smile on my face. Item number is 58217 and originates back from 1998. I finally fixed a broken steering block that kept me running the Beetle for a decade. This one is fun! Looks fun and drives fun for anyone--even with a simp...

Re: Electronics layout

My last goldpan was set up in a similar fashion, granted it was more that way as I set it up with a vintage mechanical speed control. The battery barely fit side to side heh. :)

Cerakote Questions

I was kinda surprised that through a search for Cerakote, I only found 16 results. So I was wondering if there is more out there that maybe haven't posted about, or maybe there is more hidden out there. This is one of my things about gold pans. I love "the gold" for the nostalgia, but not ...

Re: metric rear rc10 hubs

This is a Traxxas carrier beside one from a 10T. They are the common 2WD version from the Stampede, Rustler, Slash, and others. It isn't perfect but could probably be made to work. I think that Frankentruck has a shock tower that fits more like a 10T that might work.

I'm using a JConcepts T5M body on mine.

Re: Quick and easy rc10eGt

Frankentruck also made this battery holder for stick packs. Those are 16X190 battery straps.

Re: Quick and easy rc10eGt

This is the JConcepts T5M body, rough cut and fitted on mine. This is the same body used on their short lived EGT conversion kit. Screenshot_20220805-142131_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220805-142147_Gallery.jpg The front body posts aren't the correct angle but are usable. I'm going to use 2" unive...

Re: Quick and easy rc10eGt

A flat plate relocates the front body posts to a good angle for a T4 body. Might work for a T5 body too.

What works for a T might work for a GT.

Re: Quick and easy rc10eGt

It's not bad, just a little off angle. Once the body is painted, foam washers applied, and the collars put on the posts, nobody will give it a second glance.
