Re: Cerakote Questions
I have had multiple bicycle frames Cerakoted over the past few years. The results are durable and the matte finish is aesthetically pleasing. I have never used it on RC, having always done powder coat in the past, but the thinner and more scratch resistant finish appeals to me as well. My local powd...

Re: Coupons and Specials
I would take a wild guess that most members of this forum are on MCI's mailing list, but in case you are not. They are having a 25% sale this Thursday 11/24 @ Midnight until this coming Sunday @ Midnight.

Nose plate straightening
Hey guys,
I have a nose plate that is in pretty good shape. Typical arc scratches from the steering bellcrank and the front has a bit of a wave to it. How are you guys bending it back into the correct position without leaving marks or making things worse?

Re: Modern 2wd bashing buggies
I used to do stuff like that. Now, I just build more shelves. It's less stressful to not have to choose.asciibaron wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 10:50 am when i decided to get back into RC cars, i set my limit at 8 cars and built shelving... i am not sure what will go in that last spot.

Re: Traxxas TRX1 Modern Racer build
With help from TRX1-3, I believe the aluminum rear pivot blocks are made by Fast Lane. The wing mounts are Revolution. The outdrives are Traxxas. I don't know who did the front carbon brace. I built up some nice FT shocks. I thought the Kashima bodies would fit well with the color of the motor plate.

Re: RC10 Gold pan jconcepts wheels dont fit
Jcon should really be a lot more clear about this. They say it fits RC10 however while the offset is correct there was only one RC10 (not b2 etc) that ever came with 3/16 axles- the rerelease worlds car. Every other RC10 was 1/4”. I bet they get some phone calls for this.

4.3mm ball studs source
Just a heads up, I'm sure we all have older RPM and Lunsford ball cups rattling around somewhere. For 4.3mm ball studs there are the 3racing brand ones, some HPI ones, but with Lunsford shuttering ops....anyway I stumbled across some 4.3mm with M3 threads in Ti by "reveD". I think they are...

Re: 4.3mm ball studs source
Custom Works, Schumacher, ECX, and CRC.
Those are all 4.3mm balls but Schumacher is the only M3 thread. The others are 4-40.

Re: Server Funding Status
It's been a loooooong time since I've brought up needing donations, but we've only reached the goal one time in the past six months, and we're exceptionally light this month. Since it's Christmas, or whatever else you celebrate, why not give the gift of helping RC10talk stay around until at least th...

Tamiya Hornet with Good Year tires
This is my shelf display Hornet using the AMPRO adaptors for using Kyosho rims and Good Year branded tires.
My next project is to transfer the tires to an old school RC10 (I think the fronts and rears are a direct fit).
Do you eat persimmons in your family lol?
