Epoxy locked diffs is sometimes done in a car used for dirt oval, or drag racing.

Re: Solid epoxy diff. Do you really need a working diff?

If the outdrives are good, they are worth saving. I'd probably try heat, maybe like a toaster oven around 350degrees f. The diff gear and everything except the outdrive will likely be trash. Any higher temp and you will impact the heat treating. You should be able to heat, take out of the oven and t...

Re: Solid epoxy diff. Do you really need a working diff?

Honestly I feel that a locked diff is probably better than a ball diff :) Though I know most here won't agree with me. I had so many issues with my ball diffs and they can only take so much power before they start slipping since the entire function of it is built on friction of hardened materials sl...

Repairing brushed motor ESCs

I have been hunting for a nice Tekin Titan ESC and took a chance on an untested unit. It passes power to the steering servo and the light indicates that the throttle calibration works, but it won't turn a motor. Does anyone know of someone that does ESC repairs? Any personal experience with their wo...

Homemade tub chassis?

Hello friends of the RC10 Does anybody of you have experience in making a tub chassis from aluminium? I would be interested in making one, but there are a lot of questions... Which material is good? What heat threading processes are needed (before, between, after forming processes...)? How to do it?...

Re: Do vintage batteries for display leak over time?

Here are the Team Associated cell place holders I mentioned previously. I don't know it you can still find them but they would not be very hard to make. cut some metal disks to glue on the ends and shrink wrap them as you see fit.

Re: RC10 painted bodies

6160 is the Protech body. The other numbers are wings.

They most likely looked like Rod's early Edinger in the 25 year thread. His is multiple shades of blue, but they were done in different colors.

Re: RC10 painted bodies

I didn’t come up with much. Just a single wing.

The part numbers are interesting tho, I don’t know if you have the descriptions to go with your numbers so just in case…

Re: RC10 painted bodies

That makes it seem like there just couldn't have been that many made. That's astounding to hear that was a hand painted product made by a single person. Really no different than Andy. He would mask everything, shoot one color all the way down the line, peel masks, and go down the line with the next...
