I have commercially reanodized quite a few RC10 chassis (as most here already know)... here's a few points to keep in mind: (1) Anodizing does not cover up any scratches. In fact, you will find scratches you never knew existed after you anodize. Hence, you will want your chassis absolutely smooth fo...

Re: Rarest of the RARE
alright i was just wondering if there was some Unicorn out there that is the one thing no one can find I don't think there really is one thing. I'm sure everyone has their own one thing that they can't find. Like in my case, I can't seem to find the e-clip I dropped on the floor last week.

Re: Graphite chassis repair?
depending on how meticulous you are, you can repair this somewhat close to invisible, but you will need a donor part that has unidirectional fibers, file/drill/sand the slots nice and uniform, and cut out 'slugs' that fit with a small amount of air gap in them. take some crystal clear epoxy resin an...

Re: Interchangeability of RC10 parts (Goldpan/ds/B2/B3/B4/GT
This whole post got me thinking... Why not have a post with all of the interchangeable parts that Associated makes? It might be good to make it a sticky so that people can find out what works and what doesn't work.

Re: Correct information on the "Early Edinger" numbers
I didn't want to drag this topic up again, but felt it would be appropriate for future viewers on this topic. I was just watching one of the old videos that Gene sent me (the early prototype DVD set called "Born to Race", long before he started offering them for sale on his website), and c...

Re: Correct information on the "Early Edinger" numbers
Initially I thought there were less, of the no-stamp, light gold, fiberglass battery strap cars with Goodyear tires, etc... that we call "early edinger RC10's out there. But after mulling over the info that Curtis provided, coupled with information I had from Kim Davis while working for him, th...

Transmission Internal Drive Ratios
Lots of people are running their vintage cars more and more, and using contemporary electronics in them on the track. Gearing is always an issue for many newbies and vets, alike. To get a proper gear ratio for your motor, battery, tire and chassis, it's important to know the final drive ratio of the...

Re: Very Early Prototype Associated Cars from Curtis
Hi, This is Curtis Husting. I'm not so sure you really want to attempt to make one of these chassis. It will be much harder than you think. If you think you want to attempt it, this is kind of how I did it. First I made a one inch thick aluminum plug that the aluminum would be formed around. Basical...
