Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
I picked up what I thought was a brand new Proformance build back in 2018. I was sent several pics before purchasing, but some photos aren't the greatest, and it's obvious that I was not looking hard enough for flaws. To some people brand new build means a mix of new and used parts, but I digress on...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
Drilled the rear bulkhead inner camber holes using a #43 bit today. The Losi March 1990 Tech Sheet says you should use a 3/8" ball stud that threads into the new Pro rear tower. Jrx_Proformance_rear_camberlink.JPG IMG_7768.jpg IMG_7761 (Large).jpg IMG_7762 (Large).jpg IMG_7767 (Large).jpg

Track Master Equalizer - Pro & SS kits
Back in 1990 I was new to r/c and picked up an AE 6010 short arm kit from my LHS. In no time I swiss cheesed the chassis and started dumping money into it. After running off-road for a bit I decided to convert it to dirt oval with a McAllister lowering kit, MIP SP-1, Andy's arms, graphite chassis, t...

Re: Track Master Equalizer - Pro kit
This one does not. It's a new teardown marked Wimpy D which should have had a double wind. I have a nip Wimpy D with arm though.THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2025 9:08 am I always loved that kit! I love Wimpy motors too. Does it have an armature?

Re: Track Master Equalizer - Pro kit
That's a great score. I had a few new Premier shells a few years ago, not sure what happened to them lol, that might even be one of them- look forward to that build Definitely a good one. The body is from 1990 and was in original owner's collection. Not sure I will build it unless I can score anoth...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
Today was shock day. Everything is new and original, including the early shock collars. I drilled out the front pistons with a #56 bit per the tech tips. My kit rear springs are purple (chipping paint which is typical), and I believe that was a running production color change. IMG_7857.jpg IMG_7851 ...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
I was able to track down the missing A-2016 rear pivot supports. Instructions and tech tips call for the #1 pivot since the Jrx2 rear pivot (A-2002) is only for the 5-link suspension. Got everything mounted up and made sure everything is accounted for. I'll get the wheels mounted up tomorrow and pic...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
Since the body was painted by Jack it makes sense to use the Motown Missile. I’ll keep the Jr’s choice in the motor tube in case I swap it out. The Tekin 411P was released in 1990, and so was this particular Rx. This saves me from having to hunt down an ESC 600 or 610. Servo is a high end bearing an...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
I'm enjoying this build for a bunch of reasons. Firstly is a pure build, no shortcuts. Then just the rarity of the build in general. The quality of the accessories. The body I used to own (lol), the attention to detail and lastly it really fills a void for me personally since I had built and sold t...

Re: Track Master Equalizer - Pro & SS kits
I guess I won't need to build my Pro kit after all. This is the final SS that was kitted. Bob is not sure if they had above #082, but he's confident it was less than 100. SS differences: Only available direct from Track Master at MSRP unless the hobby shop sweet talked Bob Built by Bob Cur...

Re: Jrx2 Proformance - Kit build w/out hop-ups
It's going to take more effort to cut this one than it did on my CC RPM Worlds build. Fortunately this body that Jumpin' Jack painted is the perfect match for this build.
