Re: My first rc10!
This is my last resto, a tamiya 58008 lp500s https://i.postimg.cc/C5HQ28y1/20191222-133255.jpg Hopefully this car will come out as well. Im probably not going to be super fussy about it being completely correct unless it comes up really well and turns out to be rare. I want to run it, but i also wan...

Re: My first rc10!
If it hasn´t been mentioned before - The front shocks are most likely the rears from a Marui Samurai. I believe they are. I thought they were kyosho but had a chat about it on tamiyaclub and someone else said samurai too. I think the progressive springs give it away. I have the samurai front shock ...

Re: My first rc10!

I found an old bottle of associated shock oil with the cadillac address in my tool box so didnt even need to put tamiya oil in it 😂 It does however currently have a dynatech ...

Tamiya grasshopper, for the track!
Put this together recently, thought some of you might like it. I love the grasshopper, but it needs a little help. A friend developed some conversion parts for grasshopper 2. I decided to adapt them for the original. Plan was to build something that will handle well and cope with 13.5t brushless hap...

Re: Tamiya grasshopper, for the track!
Its first track outing was a huge success. It's far greater than the sum of its parts. Handles great, jumps great, it's amazing! A friend took this photo at the track. https://i.postimg.cc/nV4tP9Jf/FB-IMG-1673958037242.jpg Once the steering had been dialed in, it's very placable and stable, easy to ...

Re: Tamiya "Turbo" Frog
I like the gearbox extension mounts. Might have to steal that idea for my modified frog!

Re: Tamiya #53122 Acto Power Motor
You could make a motor flag. A brass rod with a steel square on it. You insert it instead of the rotor and the flag should point to the center of the magnets. The magnets don't just lose magnetism, they lose center too. Would give you a feel for how strong they are. If you were in the UK, you could ...

Re: Tamiya "Turbo" Frog
I like the gearbox extension mounts. Might have to steal that idea for my modified frog! Awesome! Let me know how it goes. 8) Will do. Finished my modified grasshopper so time to revisit the frog. I modified the rear end to put the rear arms on bearings, and the diff has the screw mod. Main weak ar...
