Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
This nice Trinity modified was partially mummified in electrical tape. It's not perfect but after light cleanup it is a keeper.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2023 ** - Winner - juicedcoupe
My Frankentruck finally got a nice body shell. Mid motor graphite chassis T3. Novak SS4300 brushless with Novak XXL AM receiver and Futaba 2PL radio. The fast and twitchy Futaba S9550 steering servo seems faster than it's specs suggest. . PXL_20230808_132650452.jpg . PXL_20230808_132205644.jpg . bui...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
The car is looking great Chuck.
Something that should have been obvious all along has just struck me -- you're actually planning to RUN this beautiful car!!!
Please do your fans a favor and keep it away from the gravel??

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2023 ** - Winner - juicedcoupe
TQ10, built from a bare chassis. Instead of an original, I went with a (somewhat) racer. - Andy's arms, Hogue bellcranks, A&L/ Factory Works towers (tall front for 0.71 shocks and Andy's arms) and transmission brace, and Pure-Tech strap. - TBG body and MCI decals, in semi-box art. - JC Racing wh...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2023 ** - Winner - juicedcoupe
Dinglem scared everyone away. Right now he is probably just waiting for the Loctite to dry on an AYK prototype raced by Jesus in the Olympics. This is my original Top Cat I bought new and re-acquired recently. I present it not as a "great build", but as a great experience- i.e. finding and...

That's 6% so far. As more people vote that will go down... On the bright side... you don't have a Tamiya or Duratrax in the fight... It doesn't matter what I have, the building and collecting skills of the folks here is legendary. My builds have gotten good, but there is something next level ...

Recent RC10 Build (for a giveaway)
I will come back and update this thread in a few weeks. But for now, I just want to show it off for guys that donated parts to the project. This is where your stuff went. If you know the back story, please keep it to yourself for now. I'll explain later. Thanks to Frankentruck, dldiaz, duckhead, and...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
My Novak1 was DOA and the Novak T4 really did not fit very good. The orange anodize on the Spektrum A5070 servo needed something to balance the look. Also the amp draw on the servo is pretty high so I got a Spektrum Firm ESC, BEC has 7.4V and 4amps available for the servo. Tucks in the chassis abou...

Re: Novak1 repair attempt
The most common thing I experienced working in the hobby shop was the bec going out inside the escs. If you hook up an external battery and either take out the red lead to the receiver or just leave the switch in the off position, with a good or bad bec the esc should operate normally. We used to do...
