Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

I'm really getting into these road cars. During my 20 year hiatus from the RC hobby, I've completely missed the touring car era so I'm trying to make up for lost time. :D I have at least four more on-road builds in the works at the moment: a custom RC10-based Greenwood Vette, a Mustang GT4 from Tam...

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

The Impreza looks amazing, you nailed it! 8) Great job on the rear body mount, on both of mine they stick through the rear window which is not great. I agree, the Tamiya body sets are really very good in detail and scale likeness. There are so many great looking on-road bodies that is difficult to d...

Re: PK Corally 1/12 Car Build

Very nice, as you say, you can certainly see elements of the C car. Do you have a body and will you be fitting full electrics into it?

Great documentation of the build 8)

Re: PK Corally 1/12 Car Build

Looking good 8) The receiver is perfectly OK date wise, they were released earlier than 1988, at least 1986. I have the same servo and receiver in my Schumacher C car.

Re: XLS battery clamp

It would appear the screws are on the wrong side but the battery clamps were originally used on previous Schumacher cars like the C car so they fit the other way up on those cars. There are two methods for the CAT, the first is as you mentioned by putting a hole in the undertray or as per the origin...

Re: The RC10 I've Always Wanted

Really nice clean build. 8)

I ran those proline waffles BITD and have a set on my short arm car now, a proper period tyre. Agree that it would look good with a wing.

Re: AYK - Magnum 480R motor

Can't help with the Turns but being a 480 I'm guessing similar to the Kyosho Le mans 480's of around 25T.

I've got one in my Bobcat...

Re: AYK - Magnum 480R motor

That AYK looks great, especially with a 480 in the back. Would love to see the body. I have the same chassis and car to build, if I ever get around to it. How do you find the motor? Thanks, here's a pic with the body.... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48881240656_a885cd1496_k.jpg They're nice ...
