Re: Speed control questions
Like morrisey said, I was also going to mention the Hobbywing 880. I honestly don't think you can beat it for the price, you get a lot of quality for the money. And it's waterproof, has a lot of programming options, high current capability, can use NiMH or Lipo batteries, etc. Just be careful/mindfu...

Re: Speed control questions
Stuff happens when you get carried away putting a whoopin' on your brother's brushless truck with your 4200mah Lipo powered, 30 yr old school 40k rpm brushed motor setup.... oops  This motor was freshly rebuilt with brand new 11x3 armature, bearings, brushes and springs. Freaking thing ripped...

Re: 11 years smoke free
I'd absolutely really want to quit. Even being a "part-time" smoker, it's hard. Part time meaning, I typically have 0-2 cigarettes a day, but smoke like chimney while drinking occasionally.
Well done Steve

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Factory Team Rc10 B4 shocks and titanium turnbuckles for the on-road T4. Now it can legitimately be considered a T4 FT.
And stumbled across a nice condition Speedworks blueprint 427 empty box. Nice addition to my unused Speedworks blueprint 427 motor.

Re: Favorite tools
My cheapo digital caliper is one of my favorite, most used tools on the rc workbench. But my favorite tool now, which I use to absolutely dread doing, is the soldering equipment. Which includes soldering station, mat, jigs, heat gun, various wire, heat shrink, connectors, etc. Once you learn the few...
