Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I've got a couple of those Tekin Rebels. They can be finiky to program. Having to do it four or five times isn't uncommon. No experience with these. I'll do a search but can't hurt to ask, how do you go abouts to program them? Hope at least one of them works considering I got 'em pretty cheap, like...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Raining so hard when I left work that you could barely drive. Cleared up as I got closer to home.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Had to run out to the barn earlier and caught a grasshopper trying to put 'em on the glass. I told her that Tamiya would be ashamed of her shenanigans.

Re: What your workstation looks like?
Not a random bump, but never hurts. Gave the barn a full detail yesterday.

Re: The dog thread
I was touring Facebook and Andy (yes, that Andy) posted this beautiful pup needed to be rescued. So I tortured over it (we havent had a pet in nearly 20 years) and went to pick her up. A lovely Husky (I think a little Malamute mixed in) with gorgeous crystal blue eyes. She hopped right into the back...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Was stoked to get a "cool" car in for an oil change after what seems like an endless string of undermaintained cars like the Daewoo Matiz and Ssangyong Korando, etc. This thing only had 4500 miles on it. I even dusted off the torque wrench for the drain plug install seeing as it's got the ...

Re: Built for the Shelf Versus built to Run
After reading through this thread, I'm apparently in the minority. All I seem to care about owning are shelf queens. My requirements are they have to be in overall excellent condition, and be complete. It's a bonus if they have electronics but it's not a requirement. It doesn't matter if they ...

Re: Hello, from Michigan
Thanks. I started in RC way back in 1984 when I got my first real Rc car, the tamiya grasshopper. I still have the original vehicle today, it was converted to a monster truck when I was a kid. I remember the first time seeing the RC10, my cousin had one, and it was an amazing car compared to everyth...

Re: Built for the Shelf Versus built to Run
As I said in the favorites thread, I like getting cars (or partial cars) on ebay and building them back to something presentable. Over half of my cars started out as parts lots or heaps. They don't have to be perfect. But I get enjoyment by taking something that other people would call a pile of jun...

Re: What your workstation looks like?
Just a little encouragement to those, like me, that keep cluttered work spaces. I wish I had before pics, but between my 2x5' workbench, and a fold out 2.5x6' table, for the past couple of weeks I have had ~25sq.ft. of workspace, with only about 2' useable at any given time. With the addition...

Re: Revolution Motors
OK, I am going to add some of what I know of the Revolution motor range, having looked into them for a while. Back in the day I had a 17triple early yellow label Revolution motor. The early Yokomo-based motors without the gold fins of the later Yokomo models were the normal magnet versions. The chan...

Re: My Latest RC Addiction: Speed (Infraction)
The last roll was bad, maybe 6-7 flips for 30'+, but no real damage. These things really are built like tanks. Weight was not a concern when designing these, as Arrma felt you can power up through weight, and it shows because these things are heavy and built solid. I actually wasn't shocked ...
