Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

You'll have to clarify, did you purchase it on credit and pay for it when the money came in, or did you not assemble it until the money came in?  Straight up paid for it, but refused to open it until I had brought in enough to cover the cost (or close to :D ). Good news is that toda...

Re: Traxxas karma?

In Traxxas' defense, their lawyers are too busy terrorizing the rest of the industry to waste time reading import restrictions, hazardous material handling guidelines, etc.

If I am being honest, I think the dangers of {insert item here} are often overblown.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

Everyone is absolutely right. :) As it pertains to ClodTalk, it used to be it's own separate forum but went dormant many years ago. Plus something like 80% of images in posts no longer worked any longer either. It became a major waste of time and resources to continue maintaining it for no real rea...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Started into the paint and decaling of my DS. Lots of decal work left, and haven't started on the wing yet. Like all my paint jobs, she's a 2-3 footer. :D

Re: Favorite tools

I really like my pinion puller. It comes in handy when I get a motor with a stripped out, overtightened set screw. . 1000016933.jpg . The one downside is that the base plates with it are sized for being able to get to the motor shaft. I need to make a plate that better fits under the gear teeth. Thi...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

The board just had an unplanned downtime of 3 hours. :? I simply tried to install an antispam extension which pinned the servers CPU for some reason crashing everything. It took me an hour and a half of manipulating things to get the board working long enough to uninstall the modification. I ...

Kyosho Pro-X & Pro-XRT

In 1994 Kyosho released the Pro-X and Pro-XRT 2wd electric off-road racing buggy and stadium truck. Created as electric counterparts to the gas-powered Rampage Pro and Outlaw Rampage Pro the Pro-X and Pro-XRT were Kyosho's top tier electric off-road racing platforms and shared all the same suspensio...

Re: Kyosho Pro-X & Pro-XRT

I'm a big fan of this platform. Having raced them multiple times, I would say it's a more robust and generally more tunable platform than most other chassis from their time. The Pro-XRT in particular is a rocket ship. Really, really great truck to drive. Each of the Pro-X and Pro-XRT have a few weak...

Re: Kyosho Pro-X & Pro-XRT

Definitely one of my two favorite trucks. Also have the Pro-X boxed away awaiting a rebuild. This was 'the' truck I wanted so badly as a young teen but just wasn't obtainable at the time. Resized_20241009_152257_1728505710684.jpeg Those Schumacher tires give it a completely different attitude.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - February 2025 ** - Winner - 1300GT

1986 was a classic year. Two big things happened. Friday The 13th part VI was released in theaters, also, me and my brother bought and split our first rc hobby kit, The Marui Big Bear. This kit started our 40 year journey in the hobby. This was restored over last couple years and does include the or...
