Re: The tale of 3 builds -OR- How projects multiply mysteriously
that's a LOT of traxxas goodness on this thread!!! Lovely 80's color schemes, paint jobs, dies, and all... Yes, AE caps fit on trx shocks, there isn't much threading available though, so be careful. Other solution if you don't like the blue cap accents is do deano them with over cleaner, bare alumin...

Re: Why asymetric steering bellcranks?
From the man himself. "The JRX2 originally only had a flexible steering arm as a servo saver (not such a great idea). I wanted it to be as long as possible to reduce the strain (more travel) when hit. Since the arms were offset only one could be that long. I would do many things differently in...

Re: Bormac's TRX-1 runner - HELP
Hi Jason,
if this helps - a B4 turnbuckle kit is pretty darn close to stock for a TRX-1 - some minor dremeling is needed.
Joe's method is still better, though - then you can get the exact, right lengths.

Re: Bormac's TRX-1 runner - HELP
If you're gonna run the white plastics, boil them at least, especially after a peroxyde bath.

Re: CE and Worlds car build log
It irks me when I don't even get some kind of acknowledgement for trying to help (explanations and video above...) but I will try to save you again: Going to try out these guys in the trans. Should make an interesting sound too... RC10 gears.jpg I'm sorry to be so blunt but this is wrong, wrong , wr...

Re: CE and Worlds car build log
I'm just trying to help and share 30+yrs or experience with RC and 20 years of racing more or less competitively. 1- we are not talking full size cars, here, just toy cars. The full size example you are quoting doesn't apply here, because the cost of a full-size, no-holds-barred 1:1 race car is doze...

Re: My A Stamp RC10 resto-mod runner build.
Nice gold tub! I would still make sure the antenna doesn't whip itself all over the place on the chassis. One way to do this is to still use an antenna mount and tube, heat it up gently while the antenna is IN the tube, then bend it - this way it stays under the body and it's better for the electron...

Re: PLEASE VOTE: Interest in the RC10M mid motor conversion kit?
Cool to see this thread back to the top. I have run an indoor racing season with the B1M, with some success towards the end as I was sorting the car out - for those who want to check how it went, all details here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=42474&start=45 Anyways - Having ...

Re: Lonestar's RC10 OIN - turned B1M Racing chronicles (Race #3 on P.7)
Now one year after... Time to update the thread ;) Having scratch the OIN/B1M racing itch i then moved to B6.1 in for the 18/19 winger season. But no later than this week I pulled out the B1M from his shelf to get it to run again, as saturday I'm driving to a track :D that is going to close at the e...

Re: Lonestar's RC10 OIN - turned B1M Racing chronicles (Race #3 on P.7)
Glad to hear she's going to get some more track time Paul, warms my heart! 8) Thanks Brian - the original rear arm mounts didn't quite resist my son's assaults though once he broke his "normal" car once already and I had to fix it  broken b1m.jpg On the track the car was ok-ish but w...

Re: Newbie with a story.....
Welcome aboard, and cool story :) As said above, you will struggle to find a one-piece solution to your chassis needs, the used car market is the way to go... I sold one a few weeks ago, but it isn't cheap either, especially if you want it in good shape. Most of them have some delamination at the no...
