I agree, what a magnificent build!
As for the FL chassis not fitting the bulkhead, was this a common problem?
Perhaps the carbon is laminated over a production AE aluminum tub and this results in some extra space?
Anyway, you've resolved the problem so all is good.

Re: Losi XXX BK2 Build
Slider status. Mostly done. I am still waiting on a blue rear hinge pin block to replace the stock grey piece. I may have gone overboard on the blue bits, but I don't care. I still need to find a set of blue BK1 wheels. Please let me know if you have some available. I have a set of new BK2 yellows t...

Re: Tomahawk rere driving experience
I have a variety of runners including early RC10s, an FAV, a Wild One and a Scorpion re-re, which is very close to the Tomahawk. There's no comparison between the re-re Scorpion and the Wild One/FAV. I love my Wild One. It has the aforementioned low COG that keeps it fairly planted but...its heavy a...

Re: JRX Pro SE Refurb
Transmission is installed. Now it's time to start threading tie rod ends... my least favorite part of every build.
But, the tie rods and pins are all TecnaCraft ti eye candy!

Jrx2 retrofit tranny?
So for the last 10 years or so I have been struggling to find my niche in the hobby. At first I thought it was build and restoring because I was a 90's kid but I have a short attention span and bought more than I built/restored. Then I sold off a lot of my vintage stuff for some newer stuff and real...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I need help identifying this basket case I got, looks like alot of parts for it in the boxes of junk it came in, some kyosho belts still in bags .. I'd like to get a manual so I could figure out what parts go to it and get it functional anyway, it's pretty cool all aluminum 'everything' .. I'm thin...

Re: Shodog's HPI RS4 original
This is awesome, Jim. I still have my original rear gearbox RS4 Ferrari set up for 200mm. I raced it in 1996, and it's been in its box since, I guess I'll have to dig it out. I recall some RPM hop ups and the alloy shocks, sway bars, Lunsford turnbuckles, MIP CVD's, etc. Novak Tempest, Trinity Diamo...

Recent EBay project original turbo optima package
Found this on eBay recently and looking to refresh and move on. Really happy with the fact (everything’s included) and it’s all original and period. Let’s hope I can make it a good clean example. At first glance the driver and body paint is needing refreshed. Should I go with a re-re shell ? Are the...

Re: Resent EBay project original turbo package
Stripped down, it’s in good shape tbh, I think it will clean up really nice. I have a few parts I would like to find better examples of. May just go re-re and keep the originals with the box. A few more photos of the Take down. Regards the body, can anyone point me to a Racing image of the time. It ...

Re: Ebay Dhawk all aluminum components
I have three sets of the parts. They're pretty nice parts but have a few caveats. The rear arms and mounts need a little finessing to get them working smoothly. The front steering linkage are metric so the screws really don’t work with the chassis. I had issues fitting an outer bearing in the 6 gear...

Re: Losi XXX BK2 Build
^ Thanks all! I used my heat gun. I threaded the end on just a little, then turned it in front of the heat so all sides got warmed and it didn't melt. It's very easy to overheat them. I swapped out the gold nuts (orange really) for blue. It's a small detail, but it looks much better imho. I should h...
