Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2024 ** - Winner - RC10th
Mines a small entry, and I mean really small. IMG_20240910_082337375_HDR.jpg IMG_20240910_082510939_HDR.jpg This is my NRC K24, a 1/24 scale Ultima Pro Replica with a lexan wing by Jason Cooper, paintwork by Dominator Airbrushing and custom mini 5 spokes by me. Really fun to drive, if not a bit over...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2024 ** - Winner - RC10th
I'm sure we all remember the giant glass case of R/C cars at Toys R Us, and not to mention the aisle with all the NES flip cards where we would stand for as long as our mom would let us and try to determine which game to buy from reading the maker's outlandish descriptions and a few microscopic scre...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2024 ** - Winner - RC10th
I bring a classic my brother and I completed. It is a 1996 Yokomo YR-4M. It is resurrected to absolutely mint kit form, including the odd tire combo that came with it new. Its got a cool jack shaft setup to operate the 4wd. Also, a super smooth high revving Tamiya 13T Dyna-Run mod brushed powerplant...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Same Gentlemen sold me this laser a week after he kindly adjusted the buy now on a Kyosho Rocky.
Both need serious amounts of TLC but they were local and didn't need to pay as much again on shipping.
Not convinced i needed either, but got plenty of bits around to make up a decent runner.

XLS/ProCAT Pro transmission
I have started rebuilding the transmission in my re-re XLS. I have run hundreds of batteries through this buggy since buying it in 2017. I ran it in freezing cold, in the wet, on grass, on dirt; in blazing heat; I ran it everywhere. Power is from a Reedy 7.5 on 2S LiPo. I have done no transmission m...

Re: XLS/ProCAT Pro transmission
I was tempted to put mine back to original just for the nostalgia. The original transmission is an engineering marvel. It is exactly what you would expect when an F1 transmission guy designs an RC car. No doubt Rube Goldberg gently wept at the site of it. My ProCat and Bosscat are both pretty much o...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2024 ** - Winner - RC10th
Here is a modernised Graphite RC10 with long 3D printed front and rear arms to accommodate Yokomo long driveshafts and low profile wheels. It has a few twists including the reversed rear shock tower to have rear shocks more in line. Steering rack is also 3D printed and allows a perpendicular servo m...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Had a little bit of spare time today so I took a fairly stock grasshopper I had kicking around and added some parts that I had been saving up. Aluminum wheels, bumper, steering arms, nerf bars, gearbox, gearbox hangers, oil shocks, and a copy of a cyclone front end. Also threw some hornet tires on i...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Finished up a 3d printed speed control and top portion of a servo. The wires from an ESC just clip in.
