Re: RC10CC GFG Coffin Race Replica

Chassis buildup started pretty uneventfully. The clear parts don't inspire the same sense of strength that the OG nylon did, so I decided I'd tap that, and that, and that, etc during the build (actual tapping 🤣) to avoid overstressing parts. Probably mostly unnecessary, but it was interesting to be ...

Re: RC10CC GFG Coffin Race Replica

The shock builds and top plate installation went fine. I'm not great at bleeding shocks, but I make a great mess trying. For the battery cup, my green fiberglass strap ended up being a better fit with the top plate. . PXL_20240107_044916669.jpg . PXL_20240107_054229011~2.jpg . After that, it was tim...

Re: mi 10L

well, a dream finally came true-- got to race a my 10LS. Since I first saw pancars in Competition Plus BITD, I have always dreamed of running one of these. Picked up a re-pop Bolink(?) body, slapped in a 10.5, 2S setup, and bought some BSR tires for it. This was at Barceloneta RC Complex in Barcelon...

Re: Goldpan DS conversion

I realized that I am using a servo mounting on this car I hadn't seen anyone else use yet. The servo is hot glued to the chassis. I put down a generous about of hit glue from a glue gun and place the servo about in the right place. Then I used a heat gun on the underside of the chassis to heat up th...

Kent Clausen quick change chassis

info from Kent himself. was able to get the chassis direct from him how cool is that!!! Kent Clausen It was an enduro car, I probably raced it at the Thunderdrome and Whippoorwill. At AE we made a few custom quick change cars, then went to the Bolink system because it was the best. Kent Kent Clausen...

Gold Dudgeon RC10T

Still in progress but complete enough to show off another project I started recently. Recently picked up another Dudgeon parts lot but I wanted to do something a little different this time. I used a well used buggy chassis and made a natural fiberglass top plate to match the towers and give it an ea...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I would be willing to bet that it costs as much or more for them to include the oilite bushings. It's original, only one of the kits, the 6016, came with bearings bitd and it was a steep price difference. I personally like it as a reminder of where we came from.

Re: Franken Dead Pool DS-ish Car, restomod version

I forgot the cutouts in the chassis sidewalls to let me use the short wheelbase position, but some minor trimming took care of that. Now the wheelbase is a good match for the body. With the wide 7222 front axles installed, so is the front track width. . 1000011043.jpg . It's moving along nicely now....

Re: RC10DS-CC

I love it, and I think some creative uses of the CC plastics are going to be a thing for awhile. I have a chassis idea that I think will be awesome with CC stuff, but it will need to wait for a bit.

Thanks for thinking outside of the box with the clear!!
