Circus Circus evolution to Horizon hobbies
So, my mind is a bit blown. I received a Circus Hobbies era JR radio today and went down the rabbit hole researching. A349C091-557A-4771-A461-8DDA0F982296.jpeg My buddy bought some stuff while at Circus hobbies way back in the day, and mentioned it was part of Circus Circus. Found this to be true wh...

Re: Circus Circus evolution to Horizon hobbies
Horizon may be a juggernaut but they ruined Tower. I have to disagree there. When I was in the hobby shop I hated talking to Horizon, the GP and HRP reps were way better but mismanagement led to GP failing- with the Traxxas issues nailing the coffin shut. Horizon simply picked up the pieces and ran...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches
I thought I'd give myself the kick to get going on it again after a tough (non covid related) end to the year..... I've installed the shift light into the factory wiring and it works flawless. Set to a conservative 5000 RPM, in second gear the speedometer reads about 80 MPH, bang third and before yo...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches
One of my friends loaned me some brake bending/flaring hardware so now the pressure is on to finish the brake lines so I can give the tools back. Playing around with them I think I'll have to buy some gear as it's not terribly expensive. They didn't have a tube straightener and I just couldn't cope ...

Re: 4wd Lunchbox?
Drinking that much is going a long way to making this a reality , in fact it demands to be birthed in alcohol ! Except that when you sober up, you realize that none of it is straight. My brother and I used to help a buddy with his round track car. I don't know how that car even ran, much less staye...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches
Thanks for that, I may pick up a couple just in case....
If I buy them chances are they won't leak, but if I don’t buy 'em you can bet they will leak
I made sure the lines entered the fittings straight and made sure the flares weren't crooked, so we're halfway there... lol

I can/will if anyone is THAT interested....

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches
It is a couch in my garage. Even though I technically want a couch in my garage I would like to get rid of it in favor for chairs. I've got a microwave, radio, fridge, kettle and a wood burning stove...... so basically I just need a TV. Money and time seem to be the limiting factor on how quickly th...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Blackfoot! Are you going to cut the box top out and hang it up in your bedroom like a poster? I did. Thought it was so cool. Don't think the wife would approve, lol. Tell her it's either the Blackfoot poster, or something with scantily clad women. You want him to be sleeping outside? :lol...
