Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
...and the other end of the technology spectrum is the 2DR Attack 2 stick radio, with R162JE receiver and Ch 90 crystals. I have no delusions (yet) of being able to competently drive Masami style with this radio. I started out with a Futaba twin stick and I still can't drive one competently.

Re: Kyosho Fantom 1/12 (1983) Tech/Giken Model Chassis Conversion
Now with rear assembly mounted. The rear left and right bulkheads are also from Tech. The tube between them, and the left hub spacer are Kyosho but I had them polished and anodized red. Also fitted, a Kyosho graphite rear axle. Hubs are Kyosho and also polished and anodized gold. 20211029_005158.jpg...

Re: Currently Playing
I listened to the full studio version of this on the way home from work today after a heck of a week.
I prefer the studio version, but the live version is much more interesting to watch. I find it very relaxing. Love the guitar work.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
That one in front must have just been born. It's still in its birthday suit! Maybe that VW beetle is really a Rabbit in disguise.Incredible_Serious wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 7:08 am I turned away for a few minutes, and the buggers multiplied on me! I swear!

Re: Cougar 2 works runner
Here’s a pics of something a few out there might not know,Schumacher did a running change on the cougar 2 front arms. They added more material to the front on the inner hinge pin side of the arm. I’ve circled it in the pic below. You can see the earlier right arm top of pic and the reinforced later ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Looks like a honest car, should be a clean rebuild. Don’t see too many of the early cars compared to the late ones
Whenever i see shipping like this, I avoid even looking at the item.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Whenever i see shipping like this, I avoid even looking at the item. I have started asking the seller when I see crazy shipping. I think the 'bay calculator gets off, or sometimes sellers don't know how to set it up correctly. It showed as $39 shipping to me, and I am only three states away. :shock...

Re: ** RC10Talk.com Community Build Raffle **
I will upload it to YouTube afterwards- I expect it to take a solid hour to get through all the spins so being able to fast forward might be a good thing

Re: Any tips on reducing a collection
I'm sure the long time collectors (hoarders) remember the $30 -$50 RC10 days with readily available parts
Times have certainly changed.

Re: RC10Talk community build -winner- (only click if you don’t want to watch the boring Facebook live video)
So pleased it went to a regular contributor, just as well it's not me, I'd only run it and ruin it.

Re: RC10Talk community build -winner- (only click if you don’t want to watch the boring Facebook live video)
Thanks y’all, maybe I’ll enter the car in the next BOTM  But in all seriousness, thanks to everyone who put the effort into supplying parts and wrenching on the car. And to everyone else on the board who contributes with post and pictures. I may not be super active as I don’t have a lot to shar...

Re: 1986 Touchtronics VF8 (V-FET) 'Penn Models' ESC
Well.... after some deep digging by another friend who has a vintage mag stash (oh MATRON!) it turns out that the VF8 was actually marketed as a Penn Models ESC (my local RC shop bitd). Really chuffed! Penn Models advert from Dec '86 Radio Race Car along with a Brimod promo too. 256046722_2738418346...
