Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Finished the PB Mini Mustang chassis , had to be very patient at the end as Fusion 360 was close to crashing after every action and it had to think for 5 min before I could continue , that also meant I was saving after every action and it needed to think for another 5 min , just tedious :!: Anyway I...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Finally retrieved the Speed Gems Onyx 14x2 motor that has eluded me for years. Just need a quick cleaning but it runs fantastic and armature looks excellent. Much thanks to our fellow Texan Ed for helping me complete a full set of Speed Gem motors in the collection.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Finally got the Factory Works Pro rear shock tower installed. The lower middle shock holes seem to be ideal. At first I tried the lower outer holes like the Proformance manual recommends..but the springs rubbed the trailing links. Now to start trimming the body… Yeah, that shock tower is really mor...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Started modding the Mini Mustang chassis , I was asked to make it fit a shorty lipo and add a nylock nut for the belt tensioner screw. The battery was more involved as i had to move the servo 10mm forward to fit it all in . I beefed up the tensioner screw area and added another screw hole for holdin...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Think the shorty lipo chassis is ready . chassis 3 v5 v13.jpg chassis 3 v5 v131.jpg chassis 3 v5 v142.jpg I looked into pricing for Shapeways and its just under the £120 mark delivered in the UK , I can't see that being very popular so I'm going put the files on Cults3d for a few quid and then peopl...

Not a fan but I reckon whoever designed these cars was inspired by the game trackmania.

Re: Rere Cougar is coming
Pretty much finished What tires are those on the rear? Are you building a runner or a shelf queen? If it is a runner, what do you have in mind for power? Do you have a color scheme in mind? Sorry for all the questions, but I am living vicariously through the rest of you who have received their Coug...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Mini Mustang lipo shorty chassis is half test printed , from the pictures you can see the nylock nut for the belt tensioner and an enlargement of the flange to accept a second screw to help secure the nut , battery fitment showing relocation forward by 12mm of the battery and servo , unfortunately t...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Think I've finalised the Mini Mustang chassis for lipo , got it all test printed and I'll fit the transmission tomorrow just to be sure the belt clears , I added another screw to the joint for the two piece design just to tighten it up . Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Just uploaded the LXT wheels to Cults. The wheels seem to work fine but as per the originals the front wheel is not a direct bolt on of the jrx2 as the back spacing is suited for the long arms and modified knuckle and hub of the lxt, as it is they rub on the jrx2 tie rod... just like the originals :...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
All the variant's of the Mini Mustang Chassis are now on Cults3D for the price of a coffee , if you want one printed try Craftclowd , i found a service that would print it in China that would deliver to UK for under £50 , I recon that's a reasonable price point .
