Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
The SACS front end is brilliant in its simplicity. :D Reviews are mixed on whether it improved performance on the tracks of the day, but it definitely did function as designed. It was standard on my Cougar 2000 (a 95 Team car, iirc), but I was not qualified to judge its effectiveness. I hit the wall...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Well, the postman looked A LOT like my brother today! He brought me my original, childhood Tamiya Blackfoot from like 1992. Original box, paperwork and all. He's been hoarding it in his basement with his RCs for quite a few years and gave it back to me today. I never really had much interest in brin...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Headed to Utah for a no prep race this weekend and decided to stop on the way at the Golden Spike museum. They run replicas of the Jupiter and 119 every day. They were built in the 80s as diesel fired and converted in the 90s to their proper fuel sources- wood fired for the Jupiter and coal for the ...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
Alright, I've procrastinated all I can as it pertains to updating the forum software. It's supposed to be done at least once a year but I've let it go over two years now. A number of new versions have come out during that time, and we've fallen almost too far behind at this point. So with that being...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I think I got the tooth count, Mod , pressure angle and dimensions correct. Finding the pressure angle almost broke my brain. Here's a trick for you, go on sdp-si.com and find a gear with the tooth count and pitch you need, they have cad models for all of em. Stick a hole in the center of t...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
My gold pan is alive! After an hour of fiddling, adjusting, soldering, re-soldering, investigating, and frustration, it's running! After further investigation, the tiny negative lead on the servo pin connector on the esc was glitching out, frayed and coming loose, so I yanked it from the connector a...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I helped a friend clean up a Marketplace Stampede he bought for his son's birthday. We haven't turned wrenches on RC cars together since building our RC10GT's 25 years ago.
