Testing brushed motors with a Tekin 900 Pro Dyno
I've been watching these Tekin 900 dynos sell from $70 up to $300. I found one toward the lower half of that price range and decided to snag it. . PXL_20220506_185222984.jpg . The manual is here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18724&p=494248 My reason for avoiding Tekin peak ch...

The Mad Cow special. It's probably what that Blackfoot is running over.

Re: SG Coyote improvements
One of the worst things about the Coyote is the need to disassemble half the car to change a spur gear, this includes opening up the rear diff housing to access a single grub screw to slide the diff pinion off it's shaft allowing you to then get to the spur. This is my solution to the problem. In th...

Re: SG Coyote improvements
Coyotes come with a piece of lexan as a means to keep dirt and other things from flying up inside the chassis. Being lexan it offers no rigidity to the chassis structure. I made a new underguard from 1.5mm carbon fibre sheet which adds some torsional stiffness to the chassis as well as tying the bot...

Lane's gallery thread
Since most of my dad’s pics are gone from his posts I’ll start adding some of the cars back up. First one is a Chris Allec special, scratch built chassis that was raced at the nats before the double decker 91 worlds car. Chris gave it to my dad to run afterwards. https://filedn.com/lrK7XiCxEw7LTTVXJ...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Drew these SG Racing Coyote parts , bulkheads and the top suspension mount , just resin prints as proof parts , will be in my shop soon . IMG_20220525_202345_551.jpg IMG_20220525_202332_810.jpg The eagle eyes might spot that the bulkheads are not full thickness , I dropped the prints into the bed to...

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Modern 1/10 scale kits sell for $319 (losi 22 5.0 regular version) to $389 (associated b6.4) with no electronics or tires. At $169 rtr this seems to me like a killer price. If they had gone 1/10 rtr we would have a $400+ car. I don’t see nearly as many people buying it. Hell, I agree a 1/10 would ha...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
I think I would prefer the adapters, just to keep the car as original as possible with the mods on the subtle/hidden side. Your redesigned hubs sound interesting too.. No problem , I'll draw them up and test print them , not sure I have the three mil wide bearings to test with but I'll have a did a...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
Printed these test pieces last night , they are the front and rear hubs for the SG Tag Coyote with the double bearing mod inbuilt , I don't have any 5x10x3 bearings but I was able to test the fit with some 6x10x3 bearings , all fits well so I'll pop these up later as well as the bearing adapters , t...
