Re: SG Coyote improvements

5mm aluminium centre drive shaft finished. Very lightweight.

I can confirm that it moves just enough to be removed from the chassis as described in a previous post. No more time wasting spur gear changes.

Re: JRX2 Parts on Shapeways

I've got a Shapeways shop myself , the plastic is on par with vintage parts for strength , not as good as modern carbon plastics , as above it really depends on the designer of the part , it works like this , I design a part and personally I home 3d print everything to be sure it's right , then I up...

Re: JRX2 Parts on Shapeways

Thanks, everyone. It’s gonna be a shelf car. The item I’m considering are original type shock collars and the original battery box.

Those are fairly simple designs that would be hard to screw up too far , I'd probably trust they would work .

My trucks

Hi, I got a tip regarding a Junior T for a reasonable price and from a neighbour country here in Europe. I bought it thinking it would be a nice pile of parts. It turns out the truck has never been run. Not a scratch anywhere. I guess it is a late one since it has the white front bulkhead and a ligh...

Another A&L team truck prototype build

Hey all, welcome to my A&L Team Truck builds, I wasn't sure where to put this but since #5 of 5 is here I thought I would keep them in the same area. The trucks are #2 of 5 and what I’m guessing is #1 of 5. This is a special one for me, I’ll be keeping one in the collection and most likely let t...

Your favorite ESC (with photo)

Share your favorite ESC from your collection vintage or contemporary. I'm not a collector, but in my quest for period-correct electronics I've come to appreciate them over the decades. ESC's never get reissued and there is something very timeless about them. Their technology made a big difference in...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

My Novak T-1X is the pride of my ESC collection. Other racers had better motors, better battery packs, peak chargers, PCM radios, faster buggies, and actual driving skills 🤣 but I had this bad mo fo T-1X in my Turbo Optima so I could run way better motors than I actually owned. With my previous Nova...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

If you're after home-made... check out this witchcraft before your very eyes then..... Ian Mullaney over in the UK has taken it upon himself to save space in his ProCAT for vintage class racing by building an esc into his chassis.... He just sent me the pics to post up on here. The guy is a ...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

I don't think I really have a "favorite" esc. Throughout my racing days I was pretty much a Tekin guy. 411p, 412p, P2, G9, etc. I did have a few Novak esc's like a T1x and a T4 in my early days that I picked up used. As for esc's in my collection, I'd probably go with something that is on ...
