Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I've been hunting the 5054 front bodies now for almost a year, bought a lot with two sets (and they were wrecked, road rash, trashed threads and not cheap) so I hit my dad up to look for some of our old losi truck stuff for 1.2 threaded rears (we had 3 XXX-T MF and one MF2 back in the day, well...he...

Re: 2025 21.5 Pre-Pro SE buggy

New shocks day, thought the nylon spring adjusters fit this car pretty well.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build

Finally getting some work done on this car. The transmission is together using 64p Thorp internals for ultimate efficiency. I'm trying to use a modern TLR 22 slipper setup, but I'm having a hard time getting everything to work properly. I think I may need to find a longer slipper spring. B4 slipper...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer

I know this forum isn't very race oriented, however this may help others that are vintage racing- We used to do this in the 2010 range to Proline Holeshot M3 tires. Diesel was the sauce of choice but the rubber would swell so much that the tire would be clapped out in three runs. Diesel isn't the sa...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer

Cut'n 'n Shut'n... good times. I did a lot of that in the early crawler days to make comp tires. Do you stretch then glue and sauce, or sauce first and glue afterward? Just glue, then a light scuff with grey scotch brite to get any excess off the outside of the tire. The slicked ellipse is very thi...

...but wouldn't it be great if it were? 8)

Pit Tips was one of the be best parts about RCCA back in the day.
With the momentum of vintage racing, it's not a bad idea at all

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer

Tire glue carne today, late day at work so I only knocked one tire out. Here's what I have now. The stock tire is 100mm, the -30mm tire on stock foam is 96mm, not as dramatic as it seems...but that's still 2mm less ride height and on a Truck with super high grip tracks that only helps everywhere

Re: What is it now Team Associated?!

The two are related how? The same way an ice Mustang and an EV mustang are related- by name  Hey. That's not fair. The Mustang EV identifies as a Mustang. You just need to accept that and stop being so damned biased just because it was really born an Escort Geezus don’t insult an escort like t...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer

This reminds me of when we found the magic tire that was untouchable we used to grind the names and markings off the sidewalls so nobody could figure out what they were. As an old dirt oval racer, we had tons of tricks...mostly gray area stuff too. I still find speed in things like this that others...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I'm on a bit of an r/c break. I came home Sunday from Roostpalooza, got all my stuff downstairs and haven't been back down since. Just burned out over the prep, travel, and the Hoosier event itself. Then the prep and everything for our race 2 weekends later. green-mile-im-tired-boss.gif Good news i...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build

Looks great! Obviously going to be running on carpet- 1] I'm sure your well aware but those RPM arms are like flexible flyers on carpet causing tons of geometry changes through the corners. Ultima Pro XL front arms are the exact same dimensions and are properly stiff. 2) You wouldn't think it but lo...

Remember... his actual car was a Team Car at the time.

It's BK's car...squint and you can see his body with the 8 in the windows. This one I will buy.
