Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A used but very clean D2. I plan to use it on a vintage runner.

My rc10 projects
I joined this forum in 2012 just seeing where the progress was in rc. Specifically the rc10. I dove deep into modern rc cars, all team associated 1/10 mostly. Always run 2wd mod buggy and stadium truck. I’ve had a 2wd short course and still have a 4wheel but I love 2wd 1/10 scale. This is my first p...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Stickered up and final trimmed and mounted the body and wing. Wing is not perfect, really hard to get paint on the inside area of the sides but it's acceptable for a runner.

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
I just found an axle on Ebay actually, the left side is shorter than a typical axle. The rear pod is wider on the LSD than a standard oval rear pod.

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
Nice, I look every day on Ebay for Trinity cars and other pan cars so I must've missed this one. I have one myself that I'm trying to restore even though it was already like new almost. I think I discovered lately though that it has the wrong axle in it but I don't see me finding a LSD axle either....

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
I think i stalled out waiting to find some other purple parts...haven't looked at it in al looooong time. I ran one of these for almost a month on indoor paperclip shaped carpet oval. The lack of RR weighting in the corner was it's demise for me, the car got into the corner like a rocker but never ...

Re: My 10LS (and it becoming a Pro10)
Ditch that servo saver for a better steering feel, that (vintage now) S9551 is equipped to handle anything (also my favorite servo from BITD) Agreed. This new setup is with an Xray at full strength. Amen - love the 9551s. Run them in just about everything and always have an eye out for a good used ...

GoMachV's Grasshopper build
This must be my like 35th or so grasshopper/hornet build lol. I kinda didn't know where to stop, it almost didn't get the aluminum gearbox but I'm so glad I did it. Then I started thinking about the aluminum chassis too but I think that's too far  As with most of my recent rere Tamiya builds I ...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
I don't think I have any particular feelings about them. I'm just glad I was into vintage r/c before it was cool. If I had the extra spending money, I most likely would have grabbed 2 of the team car kits. I have 2 replicas in mind and I would have raced them at upcoming Vonats. The Kinwald car is p...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
I'm just glad I was into vintage r/c before it was cool. Vintage has always been cool, just not popular! I wouldn't mind a YZ10 also, since I don't have any 4wd buggies to race (except a Manta Ray). RC10Talk sponsorship for the Godfather to get a YZ10, I'll throw in $50 to get it started Don't go s...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
I would like a XX of my own for comparison testing. Not to race though as I'm not interested in loading up on spares. Plus you'd have to accept how much better of a car it is than an RC10 and that would be a hard pill to swallow. Sorry, couldn't resist. It tends to be the AE cars on top in 2w...

Re: Restoration help on Trinity ev10ss LSD
Well, quick update. I was able to get the bearing off without severely damaging the axle. I purchased a small rubber mallet, taped up the axle, put the axle in a vice, and gently tapped on it. The bearing started moving with a few moderate taps. The bearing was definitely messed up. Even after I got...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
With all these AE re-releases it’s like drinking from a firehose. I ordered an RC10CC when it was first released, but by the time it showed up I had lost interest and passed it on to someone else. I bought a 10T on a whim and have been racing it fairly consistently for the past few months, the suspe...
