Re: Kyosho Pro-X & Pro-XRT

Definitely one of my two favorite trucks. Also have the Pro-X boxed away awaiting a rebuild. This was 'the' truck I wanted so badly as a young teen but just wasn't obtainable at the time. Resized_20241009_152257_1728505710684.jpeg Those Schumacher tires give it a completely different attitude.

Re: RC10T?

Definitely a Frankenstein.

Buggy graphite chassis with the nose cut off, with a truck nose (without nose tubes).

The rear has truck arms with a buggy shock tower.

Re: RC10T?

Yes.

For the front axle, you want the later aluminum (non hex) type. The buggy ones from that time are the same.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Finished up my "Spare Parts" Stampede.

I've got ~$90 in it, with the wheels/tires and body accounting for ~$60 of that. A new Spektrum esc (on sale) and Amazon servo account for about half of the remainder.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I love that you have an arrma motor in your traxxas. I want to put all used arrma stuff in my stampede eventually. My wife's Stampede and my ECX Torment both have the red Arrma (Hobbywing 1040) esc's in them. The mounting holes are the correct width and they are extremely reliable, like most Hobbyw...

Futaba Magnum Jr 3S conversion

I have six Futaba Magnum Jr's and two Airtronics Xl2p's that use the fragile and nearly impossible to find angled battery holders. Even if you manage to find one, most currently made AA's are slightly larger than those of the past. Some of the cheap "Heavy Duty" ones fit okay. Having gotte...

Re: RC10DS Advice Needed

If using a fully adjustable esc, I'd do away with the slipper for street runs.

Re: Back In My Day ..................

We didn't get kindergarten until the next year. My sister went but I didn't start school until first grade. My school also didn't do the "in between" thing. You were either of age or you weren't, so I had to wait a year (missed by a week). My cousin was a month older than me but a year ahe...

Okay, I have to ask.

Why teardown assembled packs instead of starting with individual cells?

Yes. But if you read the SDS, it's just CA glue. Maybe not the same strength or thickness as Super Glue, but more or less the same.
