Oh please- I have other fish to fry first. Like a proper pro front tower for the black body version to use rear shocks up front.

Re: TQ10 chassis variations

Yeah, it's the early one.

There was a definite material change between the early chassis and later ones. I've had 3 different tq10 chassis. The mid and late were the same material. More of a uni-directional, Composite Craft style.

Re: TQ10 chassis variations

Yeah, same as the early TQ10. The woven one was just for AE. A few team drivers had them, which is how Brian got that one.

Re: TQ10 chassis variations

None that I've ever read.

The eventual AE production chassis shape probably added a little more rigidity, and also fit the shape of the Protech II body better. Just my opinions though.

Re: What your workstation looks like?

Finally got my wheelchair accessible work area pretty much completed. I still have another 8 or so big boxes (and another 7 large toolboxes) of misc to sort through, but at least I've got room to get things done. About 2/3 of the lidded shoebox containers on shelves are individual vehicles torn down...

Instead of finding a complete car, I only found a chassis. I decided to build it with vintage mods.

Another A&L team truck prototype build

Hey all, welcome to my A&L Team Truck builds, I wasn't sure where to put this but since #5 of 5 is here I thought I would keep them in the same area. The trucks are #2 of 5 and what I’m guessing is #1 of 5. This is a special one for me, I’ll be keeping one in the collection and most likely let t...

Re: TQ10 chassis variations

Finally a pic of it ! I’ve been searching for your post from when you got it to see which one you ended up getting. Looks fantastic 8) This is what it looked like when I received it. Re: TQ10 chassis variations

Other than having a battered Sidewinder body, my TQ10 looks like it's never been used as a runner. The one interesting item is that the motor plate originally was gold and was painted over in black. I'm not sure if that's just what was done to end up with black motor plates in the kits, or if a prev...

Re: UK Lightweight Racer

I realised I probably haven't explained this build very well as it was very much a UK thing to lighten the RC10's as much as possible like this. The lightweight 'shortie' era was a short-lived period through late 1985 and into 1986 when, in the UK at least, 2wd cars and 4wd cars ran in the same clas...

Re: TQ10 chassis variations

If I was choosing between a TQ10 and an RC10 Graphite based upon the actual kit, I personally think the RC10 Graphite has the nicer chassis. Screenshot_20220602-172944_Gallery.jpg I like different aspects of each. I like the lines of the TQ but prefer the pattern and engraving of the Graphite.
