Rats to Ritches (ebay GT rescues)
Just what I need another GT. I’m going to keep this one very basic, very simple. Under all the grime I could see this is actually not a bad truck. And to the chassis and engine mounts credit, I had a little hand in the breakage. The chassis had a pretty good bow to it. I stuck it on the knee and gav...

RC10T4 Throwback
The last of the Associated rear motor trucks...... it will basically be a mirror build of my other truck without all of the extra goodies. I started with a cheap low use T4.1 RTR. 20210126_212216-1024x576.jpg First order was to strip it down to bits and pieces and build it back up. Everything was pr...

Re: RCCA Truck of the year 1992
I created that 2-page spread ad showing the truck in question. (Probably have a copy of it torn out of an issue in my legacy folder.) Unfortunately, I wasn't there for the shoot. I was given that photo, I scanned it, and added it to the artwork. I have no other photos of this that I can think of. Th...

Re: RCCA Truck of the year 1992
This body was painted by Mike Ogle. He is an amazing painter and artist. He made so many great ads for AE. Regarding the early Slot Car part of AE, Associated made all kinds of Slot Car parts and bodies. One of my first jobs working at AE was gluing, mounting and grinding rear slot car tires. The fi...

While we got you here....
Would that have been Associated Slot Racing Products or was that just a similarly named company?

Re: RCCA Truck of the year 1992
Regarding the Associated Slot Racing Prod header cards, I'm not really sure so I reached out to Roger Curtis. He will let me know. This is somewhat before my time. Here is a picture of the HO slot car vac-u-form molds that I still have. Porsche 917, Ti 22 and a VW bug. The full size slot car is a Ge...

Wow!
This is such a great post with a lot of members chiming in and sharing information.
To then have Curtis' contributions of photos and confirmation of information just makes me glad this forum exists.

Re: My blue GT
I called ahead to see if they had anything that would work for me. They’re not set up for the public, but he said to stop up and he could make something work. He had a box of scrap cuts that we scrounged through and he sold them to me for basically nothing.

Re: My blue GT
Also, call CRC. They may be able to find a rubber tire that will fit.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 3:21 pm Since we’re on the subject, super stalker pics and all![]()
Can you have them make some foams up for say a set of mini-mags ??

Re: Reedy Mr. Outlaw Super Stock
Looking around, I've seen some indication that it might have a little more timing.
The regular one is listed at 38°, and I seen a package for the super that said it was 39°.

Re: Reedy Mr. Outlaw Super Stock
Well that is weird... maybe the 36* on the one label was a misprint because otherwise there was no spec difference
