RC10 Retro Racer
It's been a while since I did a build thread - Sooo-- I moved to South Carolina, just south of Charlotte. Been here 9 years now-- had no idea it was such an RC racing hotbed --particularly outdoor 1/8th scale. Well, one of the tracks just opened a indoor carpet offroad track. I have a TON of spare p...

Re: RC10C
More initial build pics. During the build, I was surfing RC10Talk and somehow got obsessed with blue shocks. I promptly spent a few hours scouring ebay buying up all I could find. Unfortunately, they never made them in the 0.71" front buggy shocks, so I settled for the shortest I could find (10...

Re: RC10C
so the carpet setup is going well, just trying to get it the correct width. 20221124_094331.jpg using RPM Rustler arms (pn 80495) and the Custom Works front hex conversion (pn- 7290). I am not crazy about the upper link mount on the c-hub, but we'll see how it goes. Also, the plastic looks to be shi...

Traxxas TRX1 Modern Racer build
This will be a TRX1 built with modern electronics and setup for modern tracks. I am still trying to learn all of the intricacies of the TRX1 cars, but I know I lucked out with the donor car I bought for this build. The donor was built quite well, and had some really nice upgrades already. I could ha...

Re: RC10T and GT pick-up last night
Little update...... no pics though. So after tearing them down I found a few other goodies. Both trucks were outfitted with titanium hinge pins. Though there was a steel one mixed in on the 10t. Could've been mixed up when the guy was reinstalling them with the titanium pins..... hard to say. And th...

Re: Duke Concepts YZ10
Ok found some time to get a few more things done on this today. Polished all the hinge pins and reinstalled arms, hubs, and axles and replaced a couple rod ends that were chewed up.

Re: RC10 Gold pan jconcepts wheels dont fit
Jcon should really be a lot more clear about this. They say it fits RC10 however while the offset is correct there was only one RC10 (not b2 etc) that ever came with 3/16 axles- the rerelease worlds car. Every other RC10 was 1/4”. I bet they get some phone calls for this.

MMS lightweight *very
These MMS cars were quite a thing over in the UK, and having come across a few now, and having seen them in period UK racing mags being used by top drivers such as Jason Varley I always keep an eye out for them. A couple of months ago an online RC friend of mine messaged me saying he had a very chop...

These old ads:) Unfortunately the reference guide doesn´t tell the whole story. It is a list with the different types made overall. But the early yellow label mo...

Re: 6 gear trans article (June 89’ RCCA)
It's a good reminder that Team Losi used to be just an aftermarket parts supplier. Still feel weird to see a giant Team Losi decal on an RC10 though. It's interesting to read, a lot more effort was needed back then to properly rebuild a tranny, most stuff now you just need to assemble it, no filing ...

Re: 6 gear trans article (June 89’ RCCA)
One of the things I appreciated most from this article was the clear explanation of what and why the aftermarket parts were created for. For instance the long Trackmaster diff shaft, one of mine has it and I yes of course the longer threaded end makes simple clear sense but the need for the screw o...

Re: 6 gear trans article (June 89’ RCCA)
For instance the long Trackmaster diff shaft, one of mine has it and I yes of course the longer threaded end makes simple clear sense but the need for the screw on the opposite side kind of perplexed me until now :D I have one as well. I always figured that the screw was for simplifying assembly an...

Unknown Graphite Chassis
Picked up some Rc stuff that had been sitting for 30 years or longer and this has a few upgrades including this graphite tub chasis with nose piece as 1 unit. It came with cadillac box and is a stamp. Had the short arms, original steering and everything else in box. I would like to know more about th...
