Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I think I am just about out of reasons for being so chicken $hit to start airbrushing. Brush, mixing bowls, and droppers showed up today. I just hope HD has some combo of adapters to make my hose fit this brush because they ain't jiving so far.

Re: 2WD buggy from 2022 vs. 4WD buggy from 1992...who would win?
I would equate it to almost any motorracing in the 1:1 world.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Been diving into 80's Traxxas stuff lately, and still continuing to collect 80's 1:12 pan cars, so it was only natural that this would show up. NOS chassis plates got here before the car, and MCI/TBG combo on the way.

That it is!Frankentruck wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:53 pm The mighty Traxxas Fiero? Looking forward to seeing it with the Fiero GTP body on it.
Did not come in the post, but I did expand the Traxxas collection with a nice little interstate fieldtrip early this morning.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Yay!
Politics
edit: I guess I should add a pic. Nothing exciting. Just a room with new carpet. But I did the carpet. Kinda weird that carpet isn't a DIY thing.

Double post.
I always hit that quote button when I mean to hit the edit button, then don't realize it until too late. Sorry about that.
So, another pic I guess.

Tamiya Holiday Buggy / ORV Hodgepodge
I have to be honest here; I never saw a Holiday Buggy until about 6 months ago. Back in the day, the only Tamiyas I paid attention to were trucks, and I was out of RC when the Re-Res came out, so yea, just never knew they existed. Then I saw one, and had to have it! Looked into the originals as they...

Re: Tamiya Holiday Bubby / ORV Hodgepodge
In between waiting for Bondo to dry, and then primer to dry, and then removing primer and re-Bondo’ing, then re-primering, and rinsing and repeating, I did a quick refresh of the Frog. I have never worked on a Frog before so had no idea the difference between the originals and Re-Res. From assembly,...

Re: Tamiya Holiday Buggy / ORV Hodgepodge
I made the HB faster tonight because now it has a "Sport Tuned" motor. Don't know what this means, but it must mean sportier somehow. The can is ground at the edges, and it is up against the body, but it fits! The body actually centers, although as seen, literally resting on the motor. The...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Not a pic, but a screenshot. Took this earlier while working on a part, and something just seemed off about it. Not sure why the original designer went this route.

Re: Currently Playing
Was riding in the Jeep earlier with the wife and she just starts scrolling through the tunes, and then just passes on this gem. I'm like Woo Woo Woo WTF? She looks at me all puzzled. Me: "It's just my favorite Chili Peppers song." Her: "I've never heard this song in my life." 27 ...

Re: Tamiya Holiday Buggy / ORV Hodgepodge
No update on the HB as of this evening, as everything doesn't seem to be working out, but I will work them out. Just a history lesson here that I learned recently. When I first looked into the HB, I figured it was a British thing, or a take on something from across the pond. I figured "Holiday&...

Re: Best Budget Friendly Touring Platform Out Right Now
I think the chassis may have chosen me. "So, 1:10, cheap, lightweight, 2wd, readily available, touring car." I found a chassis that is 5 out of those 6, and best part is that it was free as I already owned it. And wallah, a Tamiya DT02. Paid a whopping $60 for this Holiday Buggy complete, ...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
One of my main reasons for coming here was to have a steak at Gibson's. 22 ounces cooked at 1800 degrees F to a perfect medium rare. Went last night and geeked out a little. Comes pretty naturally to me, hence the toy cars. The food here has all been amazing. I'm so confused! I se...
