Re: "Oranging" On FX-10 Chassis?
I have had decent success with hard white plastics and Salon Care 40, and was planning on treating multiple chassis with this technique. But that is only, at best, going to bump the overall whiteness up a notch or two on the teeth whitening scale. The orange spots / lines would still be present. I m...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
Oh, so Doug just needs to get off his ass and read a message!?!? :D These people with work and lives and such outside of talking about toy RC cars with strangers on the internet ...................... That Outbox concept makes sense and doesn't make sense at the same time. I am thinking like "w...

An Official Welcome To The Evicted Clodtalk.com Crowd
Not sure how many rc10talk.com regulars happen to stop by [ex] sister site clodtalk.com, but just a heads up, clodtalk.com is closing down. Like, in 48 hours, it won't exist and all will be wiped out. So, those in the corner offices have created a forum here just for the Clod crowd. I kinda think th...

Re: "Oranging" On FX-10 Chassis?
Had a little time to experiment, and this is one of the results. The left side of the right chassis has been sanded from 500-2000g, all wet and pretty quickly. The left chassis is "new" but obviously aged. Results are that it took 500g, maybe 600g, to cut through the initial layer of all o...

Re: "Oranging" On FX-10 Chassis?
Well, the first chassis turned out better than expected giving that I had to sand out the spots on it that I still don't understand. All of the flat spots were sanded and polished, and all of the low spots got a Salon Care 40 Creme treatment for about 8 hours (4 each side), and I am 90%+ happy with ...

Re: The dog thread
So, my wife sent a sample to a "dog DNA" facility a couple of weeks ago, and we got the results today. Now, we only adopt mutts and nothing near pure breeds, so we shouldn't be too surprised by any results we get. And we got a fighter on our hands!!! 25% Amer. Pit Bull 20% Rottweile...

Tres Compilaciones De Futaba FX10s
So I have finally gotten around to rebuilding my first "hobby grade" RC car. I started searching for a rebuild candidate about a year ago, and couldn't find any at the time. Then I missed out on a pretty good deal on a pair of them. Then it just seemed like the great car never came around....

Re: Tres Compilaciones De Futaba FX10s
Got some painting done, and most of the runner chassis is complete. The normal black paint for the truck chassis was a bit too gloss for me, so I need to get some matte. Of course the local HT doesn't have any, so need to go to the one an hour away sometime this week. I am also still waiting for the...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
This is my second shipment from the MCI/TBG collaboration of combining shipping. I have to say I like what they have done. Save a couple of bucks on shipping, and the combo shows up at the same time, because honestly, one doesn't mean much without the other. Props to them for joining forces! :) FX10...

Re: New project
I built a couple of crawler tubers back in the day, and quickly learned that it requires much more patience than I have available. My hats off to you on your build; it is awesome! That Stay-Silv you are using is like magic in a bottle! I was building a still many years ago, and was having the hardes...
