Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
New tires for the purdy Assault rear wheels. I was hoping they would fit a certain other wheel also, and they did; so score there.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
And finally got the front Kyosho tires for a future Assault build, and as expected, they fit great for RC-10B1s also. So, if you are building a slightly incorrect B1 runner and just want good functional tires, Kyosho is currently making them for about $25-30 for a full set. The opposite side of the ...

Re: Charger recommendations for 2022
Come on Doug! We all spends hundreds on EACH car we build, and then want to charge them all with a $45 charger?!?! These are ~$85 chargers. I bought the first one because I am like a child when it comes to touchscreens, and the big octopus cable keeps me from having to keep up with multipl...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
So I ended up getting a CRP RC10 MT conversion kit for free, and was going to go the traditional route with a Blackfoot sized rig, but then I realized I had a kinda junky 10T sitting around, and well then genius kicks in!

Re: Currently Playing
The dude that plays keyboard passed today. R.I.P. As a lifelong [okay since 13yo or so] fan of DM, I have giggled a little bit every time it has been reported that "the keyboardist for Depeche Mode passed." In it's heyday, DM was three keyboardist and a vocalist, so to say keyboardist, yo...

Re: Future innovations in RC racing (2022 and beyond)
It has already happened in 1/5 scale but I think hub motors will be the next game changer. Just a matter of time. I don't think this is far at all. I have played around a little bit with quad motors within 1/10 scale wheels, and it is possible and they just need some torque help. Open source contro...

Re: Tamiya Falcon?
This got a few people excited last year, but eventually it all faded and nothing has been spoken about it since.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
International RC day! Tamiya Enzo from Austria, OG Blackfoot body with tailgate from England, and a custom made PCB and bunches of accessories from, well, yea, China. POST HAUL 6-16-22.jpg Now I just need to learn to properly place small pcb electronics and improve my soldering skills by about 1000%...

Re: WTF? Fenders on a buggy
Yeah I dunno, I've just chalked it up as another zany Japanese thing. I am supposed to hate this, and everything inside me says this is wrong, but you know what? I am okay it, and even like it! Zany is good! :D https://www.drifted.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/toyota-black-white-yellow-red-bosozok...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
This bastard "dry" bit me this morning. Still did the ER trip just in case and waited it out. Great way to ruin an afternoon. Good news is that he was in the same spot when we got home, so at this point I am in MUCH BETTER condition than he is!

Re: The problem with vintage Tamiya...
If you have been eyeing a particular vehicle for a year, and you haven't been eyeing its closest comparison, doesn't that answer your query? Get the one that interests you the most, and ignore the money side of it. You can buy it stock with just a few "required" upgrades, then pimp it as y...
