Re: Road Rally RR-10: Project Snowball Effect
Well, got most of the chassis finished up this afternoon. Still have a couple of obstacles in my way, but I will work them out.

Re: Road Rally RR-10: Project Snowball Effect
I really wanted a nicely finished diff gear cover, but I couldn't find any that are mirrored of the original, so had to print one. It looks a bit too printed, but hopefully it will do for now. Another issue I have right now is that the driveshafts are too long. Not shockingly as I only widened the r...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Great day yesterday to get out and visit a couple of my favorite mechanical marvels in Richmond, and they both exist within a couple hundred foot of each other! First is a bascule train bridge with overhead counterweight. This thing is literally about a foot over the Kanawha Canal. The track is stil...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Great USPS day! Two packages of Bolink wheels, Bolink wheel adapters, new AE MSC resistors, Rx/Tx, and a custom cut chassis kit courtesy of Factory Works.

Re: Anyone Have Some Sanyo (red) SCR NiCads Sitting Around?
Nevermind. I found enough random pics to put something together.
Interesting sign of the times looking at the various pics of the relatively same battery. Modern versions tell you to recycle or dispose of properly .................. old versions tell you not to throw them in fire.

Re: Anyone Have Some Sanyo (red) SCR NiCads Sitting Around?
Well, stickers came out okay except for two things. I don't know how to spell rechargeable
and the paper is way too glossy. Apparently, clear matte sticker paper is difficult to find, but I will come up with something.

PDI Zeta Drag ESC with programmer for a near future period top fuel build. It looked like it was pretty nice, but it actually looks unused.

Bolink Round Tracker: Project Awesome Bill From Dawsonville
Picked up a Bolink Round Tracker a little while back just to add to the pan car collection. I picked the car up mainly because many of the nylon pieces are engraved with "minicars" which I believe was a Swedish brand bought out by Bolink, but the fact that the markings are still there peak...

Re: Anyone Have Some Sanyo (red) SCR NiCads Sitting Around?
This is just a printable matte white vinyl sheet printed with a typical inkjet printer. The actual color is much more red than the pic came out. I have a little work to do, but this is fulfilling my basic requirement of looking like a vintage sub-c battery from 2-3' away while using a modern mah NiM...

Re: Do you display with or without electronics?
All my shelfies get full electronics, and are in position so that they could technically be ready to run with minimum prep (not that that would happen). The electronics are the heart of the car IMO. Without them, it would be like a museum full of 1:1 cars with no engines or drivetrains. It logically...

AE TF-10: An AE Top Fuel Hodge Podge
Why be in the middle of one build when you can be in the middle of four? It eats up all that time you sit around waiting for parts, and paint to dry, etc. My inspiration behind this one was thinking that I was an AE guy back in the '90s and I had a local shop / track where I raced dirt and oval (mul...

Re: Currently Playing
When I got my first CD player for Christmas, I also got 3 CDs that I asked for. This was the highlight of one of those three.
