Re: How to clean and coat vintage tires
I clean with simple hot water and Dawn. Then spray and wipe with aerosol Silicone spray. Some people state that the aerosols will harm the rubber, so just to be safe, I spray on towel and then wipe.

Holiday Buggy: Tamiya vs Extratoy Comparison
Via a direct link from a member of this forum (Thanks Dadio!), I ended up in possession of an Extratoy Holiday Buggy. This is known to be a clone of the Tamiya Holiday Buggy, and sure, that is probably true, but at the same time, I wasn't there, so maybe Tamiya cloned Extratoy!?! Who knows, either w...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
For the past year or so, I have been building up my Bolink fleet, and it is getting better, but it is all 1/10. I have been searching for a realistically priced 1/12 Bolink for quite some time, and have kicked myself in the butt for not going higher on one that I lost at auction quite a while back. ...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Yep, I have a few of those radios sitting around. Even pretending with them, they are just not intuitive at all! I can't imagine actually driving with one. :D FUTABA BOX RADIOS 1.jpg I am FAR from an expert, but as far as I know, Bolink only made Porsche 917 bodies in 1/12th scale, so that narrows i...

Re: Looking for specs on some of the early Bolink motors
Ran across this little baby today. It has the correct early Bolink logo on it, but I have never seen this motor on a car that I can remember.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A second Proline Pro-2 parts lot from a semi-local guy that I deal with when he has vintage stuff. The plan here was to just hop up my 2wd Slash with a few parts whenever I got around to building it (my first SCT), but at this point, I think it is only going to be about 20% Traxxas when it is done ....

Re: Looking for specs on some of the early Bolink motors
Classic! I have never seen one of these in my life. What exactly is the logo supposed to represent? It looks like 2 monks playing ping-pong and farting fire. I was at a similar party one time. It was the regional ping-pong and burrito festival circa 1995. At first, I literally went with two armadil...

So, what did you do RC today?
This seems to be a hugely popular thread on another forum out there, so let's see how it do here?!? Simple, what did you do RC wise today? Pics or it didn't happen! Painted a body, rewired a ESC, mounted some wheels, finished a 3-year project ............... it doesn't matter! It just had to happen ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got in a little more time on the Pro-2. My chassis is lacking two factory parts, 1) bellcrank tubes, and 2) a rear ESC mount, which actually acts as half of the rear shock tower mount. Building one of these from parts really is a PITA. Made up some bellcrank tubes out of some aluminum standoffs. rc ...

Re: Favorite tools
Finally got around to gathering a couple of these, and so far, so worth it and not sure why I waited so long! I found a M12 charger at a yard sale for close to nothing, so then went and got a M12 drill (tool only) and a couple of Chinese batt packs for a good price. Then a small driver kit, which is...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Now you have to spend another half day making up an accurate setup sheet.
