Re: New addition to the RC fleet
Then I see them in the LHS and only think, "I MUST HAVE THAT!!!" :D They are so much more impressive in real life! After losing the desire to complete and drive my DR10 project, I wondered if someone in the world like to trade me their Arrma for my little drag car. So today this came into...

Re: Anything 80s on the horizon?
At first I thought you were wondering if there was anything out there like an 80's Horizon. I couldn't grasp why anyone would want an RC Plymouth Horizon!?!?

Re: my first tamiya blackfoot rebuild
Super old thread, but this is step one in a Blackfoot build (which would be step one in ANY tamiya build):

Re: New Kyosho USA-1?
The old USA-1 electric was “1/10” but the nitro crusher with the same body was on a 1/8 scale burns chassis, so yeah. Scale numbers mean very little. And if they are anything like their Tamiya counterpart, the body is actually close to 1:12 when compared to a real 1:1. They made the bodies extra sm...

My Latest RC Addiction: Speed (Infraction)
I traded my built DR-10 for an Infraction. TBH, $$$ wise it was a pretty square deal; both having close to about the same in each, but I feel like I got the much better end of the deal! These big Arrmas are just impressive! I have decided this is just going to be a straight up speed rig. N...

Re: My Latest RC Addiction: Speed (Infraction)
Todays updates: Got the MMX 8S ESC in, and made a mount for it. I 'lifted" it out of the cavity the stock one fit into, maybe thinking it would allow a little more airflow / cooling. Might to nothing, but might. esc mount installed.jpg I had gathered all the parts I thought I needed to quickly ...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
I have heard millions of Cicadas, and seen hundreds of their "shells," but in 46 years, I have never seen this. Watched this little display as I was out weed-eating this evening. After going in an showering after the last pic, I went to go check on them, and they were gone.

Kyosho / Kraft / Graupner Eleck Rider 1/6 Motorcycle
Random FB Marketplace search for Kyosho one night ended up with a result for a 1979 Eleck Rider 1/6 Motorcycle just on the other side of the state from me. At that point, that was all I knew about it, other than the seller had just reduced the price to $40, and that was it, it was soon on its way to...

Re: Kyosho / Kraft / Graupner Eleck Rider 1/6 Motorcycle
Complete coincidence. This pops up the same day I get my runner: https://www.ebay.com/itm/194317009256 This is NIB, and I will have more than that in getting this runner running. But, now I won't feel bad for wrecking this one! ![Mr. Green ](./../../../images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: Kyosho / Kraft / Graupner Eleck Rider 1/6 Motorcycle
Started tearing it apart today (my favorite part of a restore/refresh), and it is now down to the major components of: Frame, Rear, and Front. Each of which are soaking various parts in PB Blaster at this point. Love the simplicity of it; nothing is threaded, it is all screws and nuts. The fasteners...

The Most Expensive Tamiya Ever??
This is local to me, so it pops up in my usual RC search every day. I just don't know what to think here................... I currently own three 1:1 vehicles that cost less than this! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/303136404944609/ From ad: This Ferrari 360 Modena based on the Tamaya TRF...

Re: What your workstation looks like?
Just a little encouragement to those, like me, that keep cluttered work spaces. I wish I had before pics, but between my 2x5' workbench, and a fold out 2.5x6' table, for the past couple of weeks I have had ~25sq.ft. of workspace, with only about 2' useable at any given time. With the addition...

Re: Kyosho / Kraft / Graupner Eleck Rider 1/6 Motorcycle
Powder coated the main frame pieces today. More pitting on the parts than I was hoping, and the PC job is DIY, but overall it came out very acceptable. My PC guy is a bit of a d1ck, but he works for peanuts. TBH, the original paint looked as though there was zero prep, and no primer applie...
