Re: Let's see those airbrush stations!

My "station" is temporary, and easy to put up and take down as needed. Most everything just gets thrown inside it, and then it gets thrown under a table. The top of the cabinet is my charging station most of the time. Its a simple 24x24", 1x2", frame with carboard sides and a fil...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

I think you picked up a solid car. I picked up a used Fazer '69 Z28 Camaro quite awhile back, but haven't done anything with it. The usual "one day..............."

Re: Forum News & Discussion

After spending several hours on this, I discovered our servers mail setup through Cloudflare was misconfigured. what's called the DKIM signature was missing along with the DMARC record. I don't know if that will improve upon the problem or fix it entirely because the issue began long before switchi...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

The Fleetside uses the Fazer FZ02L chassis (long wheelbase 274mm, 10.78"). You can swap that to a FZ02 chassis (shorter 260mm wb, 10.24") pretty easy with just a chassis and driveshaft274 replacement. Parts are just about $40. If just shortening 1/2" looks like it will work for that b...

Re: Inter-Fab Viper EX-10

Decided to try to actually finish this one up before diving too deep into something else. Decided awhile back that I wanted to put some more red into it, so put some different Tekin electronics in it. Factory Works cut me a rear body post mount out of some red G10. Swapped the steering knuckles for ...

Re: Spray Paint types for Lexan

I would think PS49 could get you there with the correct backing.

You are correct, and thank you for the cells! I wasn't planning on putting any batteries in this rig, but you are right, some red Cadnicas will do just fine! :D

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Got my steps in today by walking one of the pedestrian bridges across the James River in downtown Richmond. The bridge I am walking on is actually an old railroad bridge, which was actually built on top of an adjustable dam that directed water to a canal used by the electric company, and produced po...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Picked up a Wild Willy just for the tires, and paid about what the tires are worth these days. It will end up being a project at some point in the future as I have always wanted a M38, but for now, it is just a set of tires.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Road tripped for the FBMP local deal of the day. Ad simply stated "RC Parts - $100," then had to go ten pics into the description to see the 10. 4.5 hours of driving, but I am good with it, and networked a new contact looking out for me. :D

Re: If I had a 3D printer…

It is beyond easy. Simple wheel/trans/servo adapters are one of the best parts of 3d printing.

I am on the opposite end of the scale there. I use 120-150 grit. I'm not wet sanding it into shape. :D

Re: Tips For Painting Headlights?

Thanks Alex! I have made buckets a couple of times before, and I found them so-so. Yours came out better than mine! For now, I have given up on what looks good directly on the back of the lexan. I have seen some pretty good airbrushing techniques, but they tend to come out a little overdone to me, a...
