Re: Testing brushed motors with a Tekin 900 Pro Dyno
I bought my MRC Road Winner circa 1988, about 3 months before buying my first used Hornet. I had a cheap DC charger to charge my cheap battery for my MRC. I remember waiting for it to charge off of my mom's Dodge Caravan(Complete with wooden panels)cigarette lighter. It was like watching and waiting...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
There is a lot more history behind several of the well known RC motor builders, all originating from the 70's slot scene. I started delving into this and ended up buying an original Mick Goddard (MG) 550 slot car, fully hand made from brass bars and plates. Super cool. Mick was big in the slot scene...

Got a BRP motor dyno, complete with box, instructions, and data sheets. Also came with Nexus Street Fighter and Trinity T-Tech (wind unknown) motors. Lane's gallery thread
Since most of my dad’s pics are gone from his posts I’ll start adding some of the cars back up. First one is a Chris Allec special, scratch built chassis that was raced at the nats before the double decker 91 worlds car. Chris gave it to my dad to run afterwards. https://filedn.com/lrK7XiCxEw7LTTVXJ...

TRC Lynx II - back to street duty
After several years of searching, I finally managed to find one for a very reasonable price. Mis-titled on the Bay listing might have been reason it was overlooked until I came across it. With a BIN, it was mine :D ! Although, I have several other cars still in progress. Can never have to many, righ...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
These just arrived today.... an original and unused Checkpoint slot armature, an MG one (never come across an MG slot armature before), and a bag of bits and bobs... notable for the slot brush gear hoods and brushes, plus a pair of round heatsinks which are actually designed to be pushed on to the t...
