Re: Tape for restoring old Igarashi motors
is there a particular color? For black, 1/4" wide automotive pinstripe tape is very similar to original. it's also very similar to what Novak used for receiver cases.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2022 ** - Winner - Kedal
I voted with my heart this time around, vs the rarity or technical sophistication of the entrants. Awesome Bill from Dawsonville's T-bird is right up there with Cobras, GT40s, and Glidden's Pinto on my all time favorite 1:1 race cars list. And I will gladly bow out of BOTM and take this as a win!! ...

Re: Parma/PSE
If you don't need the threaded bushing, use kingpins for a Bolink/RJ Speed Legends car.

I have one of those Parma cars. RJ parts are what keeps it together.

Re: Parma/PSE
The Parma bushings on mine are steel. However, I might have a workable solution for you. All you really need is a 4mm OD locator that fits the 5-40 threaded kingpins, correct? Then you could use two 5-40 nuts, like Bolink and RJ cars. These Tamiya bushings have the correct 4mm OD and the ID is sligh...

1985 IFMAR Offroad 1/10 World Championships
I traveled to Del Mar in July of 1985 to attend the first 1/10 scale off road championships. I had a 35mm SLR camera and took 50+ pictures. Some good, some not so good. The pictures were on display in my hobby shop until I closed it in the early 90's. If you want to take a look I have them in an alb...

AA batteries in vintage transmitters
While testing some vintage Futaba Magnum and Megatech Jr transmitters, I noticed that the batteries and battery holders were very tight. Like separating the transmitter handle tight. After doing a little research, I found that AA batteries are supposed to be 13.5mm but can be up to 14.5mm. Just abou...

Re: RC10C
More initial build pics. During the build, I was surfing RC10Talk and somehow got obsessed with blue shocks. I promptly spent a few hours scouring ebay buying up all I could find. Unfortunately, they never made them in the 0.71" front buggy shocks, so I settled for the shortest I could find (10...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Special sale... buy a motor, get a 10L included. Just pay shipping, handling and processing fees.
Did the RC10L ever come packaged with a mechanical speed control, or did someone likely retrofit one?

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Very happy to find another black can modified B&R. I had to trade my other one a few years ago, and have been searching for a replacement ever since. This one is even nicer!

Re: Newbie's Start on a RC10LSO Build
Well, what I thought would be a couple of hours of replacing some minor parts ended up taking quite a few hours, and I haven't even touched the body. Didn't realize the stock pan has holes for a smaller than stock steering servo, so had to dig one out and pretty it up and shorten the cable. The orig...
