Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2024 ** - Winner -GrePo
I wouldn't have thought that my quite box stock build will disqualify me from this lovely contest till end of the year. Lessons learned of last two months: laydown suspension seems to be the winning secret. In fact I actually wanted to post another Yokomo from the 90s but Frankentruck's great suspen...

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
Here is a project my Son and I built together when he was in high school. It was great to share the vocational skills I learned in school that unfortunately are no longer an option in schools today...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!
Gonna go off topic a little for a second but if you're into trans am and haven't seen the Willy T Ribbs documentary "Uppity", it's really worth the watch. Seriously great story about his battles on and off the track.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Nothing to do with RC, but that made my day yesterday. Spent some time as a Couch potato yesterday watching the Olympics... Yesterday during the Judo mixed teams final, the intensive minutes on my Garmin Fenix watch shows how much it is intense to watch such a great final... That's real couch potato...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!
... With those gold DS stock wheels, I ordered an HPI Trans Am Bandit body, the wheelbase should be about right. https://i.imgur.com/8h14cBC.jpg ... Ooh, great choice!! I've been looking at that TA body myself. It looks a little wide but otherwise, it appears that HPI did a great job replicating th...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I like 'shopping local' when I can, and with mikea96 being a talented painter it's a pretty easy choice. Some of us really really hate painting. 😁 I special ordered one and 'needed' the other. . 1000013659.jpg . I don't know what these turnbuckles are intended to go on, but I can always find a use f...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2024 ** - Winner - kandkhobby13
Picked up this as a partial slider and pieced it back together, mostly when parts that I already had. A stamp, modified for inline battery, DS servo saver, Factory Works towers and transmission brace, and Tamiya turnbuckles (weird, right?). Body is a JConcepts Protector with reproduction Cox Bandido...

Re: Favorite tools
Was wasting time in Harbor Freight and seen these.

The tips are tiny and they seem to hold well. They also reminded me about the lifetime warranty.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
The plan was to work on a DS while working on a FR01, but UPS has decided I don't need that DS quite yet. So, pulled out the Hanger On that I started a couple of weeks ago and finished it up, then took it apart, then finished it up, and took it apart again, then finished it up ..................

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
An aesthetic update on Grendel showing off her backside. I'm going for a look that the purists are gonna hate, but I think the body color-painted bumpers and blacked-out grille and taillight surrounds will make her look more menacing. TaillightFinishPanel-Installed1.jpg TaillightFinishPane...
