Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I actually got this one a few weeks back but it was a good find. When I'm bored or at night I always search for Novak stuff among things. One night I got up around 1:30am and randomly decided to check like I do and found this for an excellent price. Pics weren't great and was only up an hour or less...

Futaba fp-t3pg magnum senior partial tear down
I IMG_5687.jpeg I purchased futaba magnum senior with some case damage, but otherwise in good condition some time ago. It was also missing the battery cover. I won an auction on a second more complete one. The new one was in rough shape with a lot of oxidation on the metal parts. As well the trigger...

Re: The dog thread
Hopefully I don't upset the gravitational pull of the Earth by posting a cat here, but Mr. Bob always likes to lay in the sun at the entrance of the barn when I'm outside. You have to step over him, he will not move.

Re: 10L project
Thanks Marty! I’ve actually been around quite a while, but only recently began being active again. The more I’m here the more I keep coming back though! So here’s the completed car minus a body, the Novak 4 was on the bench when I was picking stuff to use, not 100% period correct, but neither are th...

Re: The 'Holiest' of Holy Grails AGI Jammer Build
One question about flipping the gearbox around to do a mid motor. Isn't a reverse rotator motor needed, or a 0 degree timing motor that can be run reverse polarity for driving forward? I've always flipped the top shaft direction when I do a mid motor to keep motor rotation in the normal direction. ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Also found the O.G.
I knew I wouldn't have gotten rid of it, but I haven't seen it in years. Pretty stoked! My original 6 gear. I probably spent 40 hours going thru it in every detail. Still smooth af! Rings are gone. No telling what I may have been up to last time I was doing anything with it.

Re: best way to remove solder from motor cans?
I find the wick works best when it's slightly tinned, don't cut the copper braid off at clean copper but where it starts to discolor from previous wicking. Melt the solder on the can as you would when you tin the joint to make a connection, then press the braid into the solder with the iron. Keep in...

Re: Hand-wound motors
For comparism: rewound and soldered an old (burned) Tamiya Technigold (same wirediameter (.80)
and also 21 turns) and measured it with my two others: about 1.5K more revolutions under load and
slightly more max. output.

Hi from SW Germany
Hello, folks! After a long hiatus from RC I came back in 2023, when our youngest turned 10 and absolutely needed to be given a RC car as a gift. While ordering a Tamiya Lunchbox for him, I could not resist and got myself a Tamiya Wild One. We built both cars together, which was great. I was hooked a...
