Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

If you've had slow mail delivery through the Dayton OH USPS branch, my lost Trinity and Race Prep motors might have something to do with it.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

You could also reverse channel 2 on your radio. Some ESCs need that done. No big deal. If you reverse the channel and it runs correct, then you're good. Forward should be on command, and I think there should be pause before reverse can be commanded.

Re: Possible Zebra RC10 CE... help requested

I don't see any aftermarket parts. It's a nice clean stock buggy.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

Might cut the antenna length in half, and use the remainder for another car. The last thing to do on the chassis is to set up the steering servo throw, it's way too long, and then configure the ESC with the Tx. Currently the Rooster goes faster in reverse, and even after wiring it correctly. Cuttin...

Re: Cool RC10 Progression Example... imo

I've seen/had the gray hard anodized shocks with black aluminum and black plastic caps, and gold shocks with gold aluminum and black plastic caps, but hadn't personally come across the gold with black aluminum caps.

Frankentruck RC28T rebuild

I've got this little RC28T and feel like it could be fun around the house. It has one major flaw though. It has no radio. Associated doesn't sell a replacement either. So I'm thinking that it just needs a new chassis loaded up with the smallest electronics that I have. . PXL_20231218_180448071.jpg ....

Re: GoMachV's RC24e project

If you were going to have a custom 1/24 scale body made, it's clear what body it should be:

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I added some threaded holes to the slipper hubs on a couple of the runners so I can 3 screw mount the spurs. I've been torture testing one of the brushless converted GT and so far the spur is staying tight. I think the standard 2 screw mounting lets the spur rock and loosen the screws. . PXL_2023122...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

Take a look here. The Team Car Viper paint is very elaborate but also very cool.

Re: Kyosho Javelin Arrives in KY

Now, to do the belt drive upgrade or leave it chain driven. She will only see the occasional run on carpeted surface. Years ago I converted my Turbo Optima from chain to belt. I was really pleased with the belt setup. The biggest improvement was that the chain setup seemed sensitive to proper chain...

Re: HPI Super Star question

My TRX-1 came with HPI wheels. The TRX-1 metric bearings are much bigger than the JRX2 front bearings. To adapt the JRX2 front wheels, the bearings would need a 9.5mm outer diameter (perfect wheel fit) or smaller (bearing adapter needed). The 11mm bearing is way too big. I see 5x9x3mm bearings on Am...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065

Instead of drilling holes for the spoiler you could use a few small pieces of servo tape.
